I have about two acres (think a square 100 yards on each side, or two football pitches, or about 50 Olympic swimming pools, or 200 London buses) set in the middle of many square miles of mature beech trees, planted before WW2 to supply the furniture industry centred on High Wycombe.
By the time the trees had matured, Ikea had happened. No more furniture industry, so the big forestry estates parcelled up their woodlands into small plots of 'leisure woodland'. When I stand in my measly two acres, it feels like I own the entire forest.
Sounds really cool!!

My home studio does have aircon BUT cheap aircon like mine is usually recycing the air in the room rather than pumping in fresh.
Our last rehearsal was on BH Monday in a wood above Great Missenden. Seriously.
Intrigued, tell me more, one of our guitarists must live within a mile of this place but he's never mentioned it. is it a proper rehearsal room?

Whilst respecting his writing, I lost all other respect for him when I discovered he was on stage with PF holding a bass while Guy Pratt stood in the wings and actually played the music......
G.
Incorrect, Guy Pratt was touring with Bryan Ferry at the time, and actually played in Berlin on the night of live 8. Its in his book, I read it 2 days ago!!

Yup it is, when you touch the strings its grounding through you, hum goes away.

Check the earth wire connection between the underside of the bridge and the loom, I bet its that!

Still learning Bouree.
The differences are subtle, and a few bits require quite a developed technique to sound right.
Can't wait to hear it..seriously, I love me a bit of Tull

I mute with my left hand, any spare finger resting lightly on strings not being played.

John to the rescue yet again! As I swapped out my pickup for one provided by another BC member, I managed to mangle my volume AND tone pot, spoke with John, new loom through the letter box in 24 hours, how DOES he do it????
Deal with extreme confidence, John is da maaan!!

looks like I'll be the second, missing out on the Entwistle, I had his surplus Wilkinson P pickups. Even in these covid times, they arrived within 3 days including the weekend, well packaged and exactly as described. thumbs up from me!!

Well, its kept me my sanity in these weird times, and given me Barefaced cabs, I thank you all for those 2 things!
Its also given me a steady supply of giggles and stress...mainly when I lurk in off topic. I daren't post much over there, it wouldn't be pretty.
Mainly its given me a chance to meet many wonderful people in weird out of the the way places, where furtive deals have been made. I love it!!

Anyhow I'm sticking with the Kent Armstrong pickup so if anyone wants the Wilkinson pickups I will be selling them, they are decent pickups but I am satisfied with the KA pickup
If those Wilkinsons are still going begging, I'd love to give em a run on my bitsa.

I think that if your Watts vs post rating is low, you probably have written considerate, well-reasoned, wise posts. If it's high, you've posted one or two Bad Jokes in appropriate threads. 😁
That makes me all warm and fuzzy inside, cheers chap!

That’s it for me, it’s down to the specifics of the venue in question (White Hart, Gary?).
Ooh the White hart, old high street? that was my local when I lived in Hemel, back in the 70's, loved that pub, and the atmosphere, and the scary landlady sat on a bar stool by the front door. It was shite last time I went in, all the atmosphere stolen, and just 1 big room with bare floorboards.... bring back the 70's 😍😏
