I'm depping tonight, so far no sign that it's going to be cancelled. The snow has been coming down steadily now for a few hours, so as well as my rig, a shovel will be going in the boot. 😀

I can't see how it would bend, if the screws holding it to the body are doing their job.

As you say there are plenty of fakes out there but there are also many great and some not so great, all originals. I remember reading about that ex vintage dealer and came to the conclusion that the reason he was an ex vintage dealer, was that he wasn't that clued up.

Is it not just a case of the screws becoming loose? If it is and there's nowt else wrong with the bridge, then perhaps get the strings off, remove the screws, pack the holes with cocktail sticks and glue, refit screws and strings. Good to go for another twenty years

Thanks Mick. My wife is very understanding and is quite happy to have a few instruments dotted around the lounge, but at the moment it's basses that are out of their cases and guitars tucked away.
