1.
Your profile says you've got a CN112. IMO that's one of the best 112 cabs around. Why would you need another 112 cab?
I know the CN112 is a great can. I'm just convincing myself I need slightly more cupboard space!
2. Wow just stumbled on this thread. Intrigied to hear more on people's experience with them. I just can't believe they'd compete in a live band situation. Was going to get a TKS S112 but may consider this instead. Which would be loudest?
3. Bought a case from Ambient, communication was good throughout and item was delivered quickly.
4. Pics added follow link! http://s1376.photobucket.com/user/tonybass72/slideshow/Gruvgear%20Gigblade%20Bass
5. Stumbled across these. Space age bass cabs. Weird!! http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2014/10/10/alusonic-introduces-alu112-aluminum-bass-cabinets/
6. This is a great gig bag. Top quality. It sits so comfortably for carrying. Definitely the best I've tried. There is some storage for cables at the head of the bass and a front pocket the that runs to the top of the bag where you can put a strap. The front pocket it self will hold a couple of cables, some sheet music etc. I need something that will hold a TH350 so reluctantly I'm moving this on. I have a Jazz Bass and it just about fits with some shuffling of the Velcro pads at the base of the bag. Apparently there are 2 thicknesses of pad available now. If you want to hold a jazz as planned I'd get hold of the other pads, think they are $6 a set. It's a reluctant sale to be honest, as mentioned previously if you want a bag that will hold your bass securely with great protection, easy carrying and some storage this may be the bag for you. £110 posted Would possibly trade part ex for another gig bag with more storage or maybe some pedals. http://s1376.photobucket.com/user/tonybass72/slideshow/Gruvgear%20Gigblade%20Bass
7. Thanks Nick, I'm becoming very tempted to pull the trigger now. :-)
8.
Both my ACGs live in the Mono Sleeve, and of all the Mono cases it's my favourite model... and this from someone who has owned them all! It's well padded, the pocket actually expands to be pretty big (I put my Tecamp Puma, a speaker cable, instrument lead, power lead, strap, tuner, patch lead and iPad in mine for rehearsal last night), and like all Mono stuff it's really well made. I have had no experience of the splitting Ambient mentions. There are three things I'd change if I could though: i) the buckle system works, but is a bit naff ii) I'd prefer the bottom of the outside of the bag to be lined with the heavy duty rubber used on the Mono backpack range iii) I'd swap the orientation of the handle to the other side, to make it a more natural carry for right-handed folk All round, an excellent bag though.
That's good to know Gareth. I want something that can house a TH350 and a few leads ideally. If I could get a four block in, then that would be a bonus. I want the bass to be protected, but it doesn't need to be nuclear resistant. My basses only ever travel in the car. Thinking about the contego but don't like those split handles with Velcro wraps. I actually have a Gigblade still got the tags on! It's a beauty. Well protected. So comfortable to carry, very well balanced. You can a few leads in storage at the top, there is a slim pouch that covers the main body of the bass but you'd get a few leads in there, some sheet music, perhaps a mb200, but not a class D with any height. Shame. May move it on. Mmm
9. Great pedal board that does just about everything. Has a valve preamp, compression, modulation, distortion, wah, octave, synth, looper, dual function expression pedal. MIDI, DI, Tuner, stereo out and lots more. It's full working order there is a control knob missing on one of the parameter controls(standard fitting so replacement could be found but still works as it is). A previous has sprayed the band logo on the bottom(although no one will ever see this but you!) £95 posted in the UK now £85 Would condsider possible trades, especially interested in a quality gig bag.
10.
Any trades?
Not on the market for any pedals really, high quality gig bag possibly, what you thinking?
11. This looks really neat, surprisingly no bass version. https://www.zoom.co.jp/products/guitar-bass-effects/guitar/g5n-multi-effects-processor?_ga=1.125787402.1210613795.1455858955
12.
Turns out my bathroom scales have an error margin of + / - 5%. When new, they are over 10 years old. At a claimed 28lb that would be + / - 1.4 lb. So I can't give you accurate figures and I'm not buying a set of official calibration weights just to sell a bass cab. You are welcome to bring your own scales round though.
;-)
13. Brilliant pedal, has the ability to save up to 8 presets. Doesn't come with charger, I used it on a standard 9v daisy chain. Some rock n' roll wear, but in fine working condition. £165 posted in UK now £150
14.
I had one for a year or so. There's very little in the way of containment for anything other than the bass. There's a large flat zip pocket on the front, but you won't get anything in there except for a cable or a book of charts. There's nowhere to carry tuners, or a strap etc. Also the piping or whatever you call the stuff that runs around the seems split all the way around.
Not so good then. What did you get as a replacement? Cheers
15. Pm'd
16. Digging this one up again, any first hand experiences?
