  2. Liz Take A Bow - The Smiths
  3. Thanks again Dr. J. I did go and listen to the latest StΓΆner album (Totally...) today. Loved it! πŸ‘Š
  4. Nick Oliveri from Queens Of The Stone Age. They are still a great band but they definitely lost more than their bass player when Nick was sacked.
  5. Btw...thanks Wonky. Your thread has had me listening to EOPE and TROTSC on repeat for a few days! Been a while but I can still sing every bass note and horn line! Those albums are so ingrained and internalised...been great opening that memory box again! Cheers!
  6. I remember reading in an old interview that both he and his sister played percussion (Latin stylee I think?...) in the live band with Archaos Circus (that mad Circus where they juggled chainsaws and other mad max-like shenanigans) and toured with them for a couple of years... His inner sense of rhythm undoubtedly would have been bang on point before he even picked up a bass. He must have run away with the crazy Circus as soon as he left school! πŸ˜„ Whatever. He was simply a very young and gifted supernatural talent. A one off. πŸ‘ People like that don't seem to stay in the game long unfortunately. They have something that can't be tempered. JK played the game, until the game eventually played him (imho and that).
  7. Like A Virgin - Madge
  8. When SZ left Jamiroquai, so did the magic imho. I gave them a couple of albums but lost interest eventually.
  9. Bigger On The Inside - Amanda Palmer
  10. Sambacalifragilisticexpialidocious - Richard Van Dyke and Julie Andrews
  11. Footloose - Kenneth Logginski
  12. They're a little bit like Chromes but thumpier. I don't know how else to describe them sorry! I'm not really a fan of Chromes but I love the Group IIs. Great balance of tone and output. All our hands and ears are different though eh? Worth a shot πŸ‘Œ
  13. The Ernie Ball Group II flats don't sound like rounds. Maybe you're thinking of the EB Cobalt flats?
  14. Really cool he liked your playing enough to buy an amp by how good you sounded. If it had been me he probably would have said, "Oh for f***s sake give it 'ere..." πŸ˜†
  15. Brilliant!! He hasn't aged much either..
  16. Tarquin The Tobogganist - Billy Connolly
  17. Suedehead - Morrissey
  18. 2x4 - The Fall
  19. Simone Butler of Primal Scream deserves a shout out.
  20. I love Mani. Even his writing there sounds heartfelt and natural. Plus he meant it more than the others because he pressed harder πŸ˜„ I met Liam in a pub in London that I used to work in. He was great sorry to disappoint. Quite full on but gentle hearted (he was at ease) and really really funny. No airs or graces. He wasn't afraid to buy a round either. Never met Noel, but the guy turns me off from what I've seen on the web. The charisma thing comes naturally to Liam. I expect that was part of the problem. Roses for the win though!
  21. Meat Is Moider - Max Smith
  22. Eternal Wheel - Ozrics
  23. Escape From Death Row - AWOL
