2. Beg my indulgence, but I couldn't resist taking her outside in the sunshine and getting some nice daylight shots.
I'm a big fan of the markbass cabs- there doesn't seem to be anything on the market that can compete with the 152HR for me 4 ohms, 800w horn smaller and lighter than most 2 8ohm cab setups deeper, punchier and louder than all the 8x10's I tried 32kg only 10kg heavier than my mb2x10 I'm selling the 2x10 btw- had I bought the 2001RB I might have been tempted to keep it! I have the jazz for sale at the moment but I'm considering keeping it now- it's stunning and it doesn't look like I'd be able to get another very easily in the future what with ishibashi not shipping to the uk anymore. I'm gassing for a precision My SR5 HH is stunning- really solid bass with loads of decent tones. I've just gone up to 45-130 strings after using 40-125 for years, it's made quite a difference
Did u look at the Epifani range? I got a UL310/750watts/5.3ohms AND ONLY 21KGS even the 1000w 4x10 weighs only 25kgs. That rig looks great tho I have to say.
4. I know its a "Girlie" song, but we played it the other night with a great sax player and it just one of those songs that makes you tingle! great bass line, soulful, funky, walking and easy, just a great end of an evening smoochy song, love it. Anyone else been there? if you know what I mean
5. Great basses bar none as the man says! Bargain, and I should know!

7. I need a four for bashing about at practices, one string too many, nice tho
8. This better be good after this long no pictures build up................
9.
I saw L42 at the Birmingham odeon in 1982/3. Incredible! I then saw them at the nec '86. That did nothing for me and I forgot about them until a few years ago. Then they released retroglide which is a superb album and I saw them at The symphony hall (2006). This was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. I will be seeing them in October and vow never to miss them again.
Mr Fudge ure the man! uve refound your youth, your 70's passion, your long hair and your pack of consulate fags, good on ya, join the sad brigade!
10. I've gone and bought em again, I can't stop myself! Mind u saw em at Arundel Castle outdoors last Autumn and the were awesome, loud, enthusiastic, great weekend away, I guess the Regent at Ipswich wont be the same but, well. As my kids say, "all u need now dad is a Capri, youre a sad bass tard or something like that"
11. This was bought unseen about six months ago from the states along with the pup cover. It was sold to me as a 1983 USA cover. It does not have the "F" logo as u can see. Good condition, light scratching. Pup cover is sold. Offers....... Paypal OK.
12. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...bayphotohosting Not into multi stringers but looks sweet especially with the extra fretless neck, bargain I reckon.
13. Pretty guitar, but this is a bass forum! Also your Avatar is highly offensive to us Canary fans!
14. Superb 74, looks great and virtually unplayed. Im not sure the dead Polar Bear skin is legal tho.
15.
Lovely Rig - I recently got a UL310 to replace my Hartke 410XL, and I dont regret it - cracking sound, weighs nothing and siunds twice its size! Only bummer is that it is rated at something like 5.3 Ohms - which means I cant run 2 of them!
hell why would u wanna run two, u playing Wembley or something, mine was blindingly loud the other night!
16. Sorry to hear that Beedy, is it too personal to tell us how that could possibly have happened
17. Had first full on loud practise last night with this, and I know one or two of Bcers are considering the UL310 for a one cab solution, from what I experienced last night go for it. A real full on gutsy cab that weighs less than a turd, with the Hifiness (is that a new word?) of the GB I had to cut the tweeter volume back but other than that, trouser flapping good with loads of capacity in hand.
18.
Here is the 59P And it plays as good as it looks!
why have we not seen this on the porn pages, or did i miss her, sensational, will she be there? Didn't we ought to have an early composite list of kit going soon?
19. Im coming from Ipswich way so if anyone wants a lift ive got a 4x4 with a cab thingy on the back so loads of room for gear, call me, not sure how long i can stay 2-3 hours i guess if that suits call me, no charge company fuel, just buy me a pint and a fabled pudding!
20. Bring it on, more pics please, i had a roadie once great bass..
21.
This looks nice and neat - what's it sound like?
Well only used it at home as yet, but it has bags of capacity for the LM11 delivering its full whack, the tweeter is a bit lively but has a seperate vol control to tame it, but overall i think i may have hit upon my ultimate lightweight 1 cab solution. 21kgs rougly the cab, doddle to carry and 750w at 4ohms ish.
22. My brother in law is Tom McRae, who they cry! And I showed him his first guitar chords, bugger why is he so much better than me. Perhaps i should get a cut of them there copious royalties.
23.
That isn't too bad mate, nothing wrong with you there - first of all you are rocking a pretty sweet 'tash, and I don't think anyone holding a bass like that should have to cringe at themself EVER!!
Well thank you its just I looked out at the forest of grey hair (i know i have none) and thought help get me out of here.! Tash yeah cool!
24. On a recent thread I asked u guys for some help on my tone for an Elvis night I had to dep for, well all went well thank you but the result was a "Cringeworthy Photo" so I thought what a good idea for a new thread with shots of gigs we've done where we wish we wern't there, or the ground would open up, or the photo was just plain funny, heres mine any way, fire away. PS: I took the MB cab for this as that new UL310 ive got is too lively a tone for this I reckoned
