  1. I have one of these in red. Great pedals. The valves alone are probably worth over £40!
  2. Still a fantastic amp. Great looking, amazing tone, super light. What's not to love? Now only £390!
  3. Looks a lot like the Mark Bass Casa. Nice!
  4. Weekend Price drop to £390 (collected). This is a bargain for such a great amp. I paid £450 last year. The case is worth £80!
  5. These are fantastic, old school strings. Heavy but what a tone.
  6. I played through the 75w version supplied by the rehearsal studio yesterday. It was loud and had a really nice tone. Nice looking too.
  7. This is a really superb amp. Sunday bump
  8. I really want this Karl but I'm too far away. If you change your mind about couriers (they annoy me too) I'll be all over this like a fat lad at a free buffet!
  9. Took this to rehearsal on Monday and it sounded fantastic. Might put for sale the Ampeg PF500 I recently bought too and see which one sells first!
  10. It's a 2012 model - the preferred Italian made ones.
  11. I have decided to relist my lovely MarkBass TTE500 amp head. It has a lovely warm valve sound (4 at the front end). Looks amazing, sounds lovely, weighs next to nothing. Only looking to sell as I have the chance to buy a big FO valve head (I have to do it once) as I have been asked to join a very loud metal band (should be a laugh). Price includes postage. Will knock off £25 if you collect. Bromley - NW Kent/SE London Comes with a lovely padded case too!
  12. I believe that this head is the same as the new MarkBass Casa. Marco designed this one and rebadged it for the Michael League Casa model.
  13. I'm a big fan too. Used to have a rack mounted VT2 but now have the pedal version which allows me swap valves around depending on the gig, etc
  14. DHA addiction I would guess
  15. He's in Ramsbottom, north of Manchester.
  16. Rather than wait months for the NHS to refer you to see a specialist, I would bite the bullet and jump the queue to see them (couple of hundred quid at most) and then slip back into the NHS program. Worth it as it will save you money in the long run.
  17. I totally agree with your comments about the band. His singing and guitar playing have not progressed in the 18 months we have worked together and acts like he's the finished article/'you don't need to be the best singer/guitarist'. His attitude is the reason this project is going at a snails pace because I think ultimately deep down he knows he will be weighed, measured and found wanting and his personality/attitude is a mask for his insecurities. Thanks for the nice comment about my bass playing btw.
  18. It's a mixture of both covers and originals. The keys player knows the songs (on keys) and can also play bass guitar. The singer is just trying to take the path of least resistance. Getting a dep in would have been a better musical solution maintains the integrity of the band but I don't think he could be bothered in having to start from ground zero.
  19. If someone said to you "I bet you're a bit of a c*nt.. No offence" you'd probably be offended
  20. If I was just a paid gun this wouldn't be an issue but because I co-founded this group and I thought I was integral to the band's sound and style, it just makes me realise how little I have been valued by the singer/guitarist. It's all about his needs being met all the time. Everybody else's comes way down the list.
  21. So here's the deal. The band that I am in (co-founded but since changed to singer/guitarists name!) have a gig next week. Unfortunately it was moved by the pub from last week when I could do it to next week when I am away on holiday (which they have known about for 6 months). The guitarist has decided to do it now as a 3 piece (drums, guitar and keys). I wasn't keen on them doing it as I felt it would cheapen the brand we are slowly building. I wasn't happy about them doing the gig without me for several reasons, namely, it would make the band sound not as good, weaken our reputation and I thought I was a key member of the group, not a session player. Ego slightly bruised and nose dislocated, etc They also want to use my PA system, and the singer/guitarist said my share could go in the band kitty. I was ok (ish) with this. Now things have changed, without speaking with me, the keys player is now going to play bass and 'my' share of the gig money will now go to pay towards a rehearsal for the keys player to learn the bass parts, etc I told him that I was not happy about this and would get back to him today. What would you guys suggest?
