1.
No doubt! I don't like their regular cabs, but I love the One10. I'd love to have the Four10 as well but at the moment I'm driving a Polo - I'd never get it in!
I had a 4*12 in a Ka, having a polo is no excuse for not having a Four 10!
2. All PMs replied folks. Zoom B3, Guma Drive, Guma Antique and Nordell Powercore sold.
3. Hi there Brian! There's a few of us Norn Iron lads on here. Loads of useful stuff on here but beware the classifieds. Lock up your wallet. You have been warned!!!
4. Next up in the great clear-out of 2017 is a large portion of my fx pedal collection. As I'm not gigging (or even in a band at the minute) I'm doing most things in iOS these days so don't need half of this stuff... and I like to tinker so have built my own effects that suit me best and will probably continue to do so. Apologies in advance for the quality of my photos... Darkglass Vintage Ultra. Great, great preamp. Bought after briefly owning the Darkglass M900 head then deciding to go to in-ears. Virtually as-new condition other than a tiny blemish on the aluminium face plate just below the "FI" in Finland. Never had feet or velcro applied. Be sad to see this go. [s]£250[/s] SOLD Little Bear R.ATTACK RT-1. Rat clone with clipping options. Literally never used this pedal... EDIT: I have now used this pedal and can see why people like Rat-based pedals for bass. This one sounds pretty good! I MAY withdraw this one after the weekend if it doesn't sell. I'd imagine that this would sound great with a clean blend. 3 distinctly different clipping flavours on offer with the switch [s]£16[/s] SOLD Chord BOD-50. Clone of the Boss Bass Overdrive I believe. Bought as part of a job lot years ago and forgot I had it. Sounds like a BOD, whether you like it or not! There are useful sounds in there, but it's very, VERY loud so takes some taming [s]£20[/s] [s]£18[/s] £16 I'm sure I'll find more bits and pieces as time goes by! All prices are excl. post and, as usual, I'm open to offers. Cash for preference but trade-wise I'm only after parts to put together a cheapo bitsa jazz bass. The stuff below is sold but I like to keep details available for the next poor sod who comes along and wants to know how to price their wares... Hartke Bass Attack VXL preamp. Punches well above its weight this one. Easily a match for the Sansamps of this world in my opinion. Heavy duty extruded aluminium section enclosure. The power connector is damaged but functions 100% - I've never used a battery with it so it was the only method of powering I've used. Great sounding preamp that I may end up keeping... [s]£45[/s] WITHDRAWN - KEEPING IT! Zoom B3. Don't really need to say much about this one, do I? Sounds good, but I don't use it any more. Afraid it's a little marked up from previous owner (see pic for worst), and doesn't have the box, manual or PSU. Runs fine from standard pedal supply, AA batteries or (as I've used it a few times) off a phone charge with USB A-to-B cable. Cheap due to condition. [s]£50[/s] SOLD Schalltechnik_04 Guma Drive. Built this as I couldn't bring myself to keep a B3K around for few times I'd use it. This is a clone kit that's been mentioned a few times on the forum. Sounds EXACTLY the same as the B3K (and I've owned the B3K a few times so I know of what I speak!). Has the cut control of the newest B3K model and has top/North mounted jacks, which might be of interest. [s]£50[/s] SOLD Schalltechnik_04 Guma Antique. As above except obviously a clone of the Darkglass VMT. Used far more often than the Drive clone, then superseded by the Vintage Ultra. Great sounding little pedal. Again has the top/North mounted jacks. [s]£50[/s] SOLD Pedalparts Musket Fuzz Clone. Built this and a Green Russian clone at the same time when I convinced myself I needed a Big Muff on my board for the music I was playing at the time. I really didn't... It is however a GREAT fuzz for bass. Far superior to the Pedalparts Green Russian Muff (which will also be for sale if I could ever find it in my "room of requirement") in my opinion, and so far beyond the standard Bass Big Muff I shouldn't be mentioning it in the same sentence. Bare enclosure for you to decorate as you please... or not.... [s]£40[/s] [s]£36 [/s]SOLD Nordell Audio Powercore NPC-10 isolated power supply. Bought recently on here. Not much point holding on to it as I'm selling everything else. Didn't even make it as far as the board! Comes with all manner of cables. [s]£20[/s] SOLD EHX Octave Multiplexer. Nice sounding octave pedal. A bit different from the usual OC2 octave tone. There's a very good comparison video on youtube. [s]£40[/s] [s]£36[/s] SOLD
5. Hi folks, First up in the great clear-out of 2017 is this set of Dimarzio Will Power Pickups. Assembled from 2 different sources earlier this year and never fitted by me as I've decided to go in a different direction. Neck pickup is a little marked, has about 9 inches of cable (at a rough estimate) and doesn't include box or mounting screws. Middle pickup is a little more marked than the neck, has a couple or three inches of cable and comes in original box, again no mounting screws. I'm told these are the dogs dangly bits. £40 each excluding postage. As usual, open to offers. Cash for preference but trade-wise I'm only after parts to put together a cheapo jazz bass.
6. Not a fan of blocks but otherwise that's a stunner! Alan's work is top notch.
7.
This is the best deal on BC right now.
+1 to that!
8.
Hi folks, decided I'm only after a trade for a fretless, thanks for the interest but if I can't trade for that I'll keep her Andy
Does this mean a cash sale is of no interest? Just checking before I sell a load of stuff...
9. My first bass! Haven't seen one in years!
10.
I bought two basses this week on the strength of selling this and another bass - "ill take it" and "I will bye it " (sic). I will be honouring my word to buying the two basses that I am committed to buying. 3rd time this happened in a couple of months now. Should we leave negative feedback for this nonsense? Rant over. Bump - still available.
Yes, you should...
11. Can't see your pics. Photobucket is dead to us...
12. I'd like to try this pedal, but mxr support when you're out of warranty is non-existent in my experience and they won't provide schematics (Ryan at fuzzrocious might help out in this case though - seems like a good chap). For that reason alone I'd stay away. A dunwich volt thrower or idiotbox blower box would be my choice for something rat based. If you can get past the form factor I'd try an Ashdown Lomenzo Hyperdrive. One of my favourite drive pedals. Like a lot of pedals, and as you've found, your first attempt is unlikely to be your last! Edit: can't believe I forgot about the COG TK-421 when talking about Rat-based pedals! I had a custom TK-421-X for a while (had an lpf for clean and drive and an hpf on the drive channel which wasn't standard on them) and it was a super, super pedal. Wish I hadn't sold it to be honest! Sold it for less than you could buy an mxr...
13.
Well it's definitely not battery powered! Like you I'm looking for a little practice tool too, this works nicely but maybe check out the Korg Pandora if you can find one. Actually I don't think that has a D.I. I'll let you know if I find anything. Everything I've found is missing at least one thing. Pick any but one of these! Compressor Reverb Line in Battery powered Small Light EQ Decent volume Headphone out
Ipad with interface would cover all of those surely... Means buying into ios but I haven't looked back. Selling up pretty much everything else.
14. Never heard of Cornford doing bass gear. Very interested to hear more bout the accompanying head!
15. I've discovered there'll soon be a new DIY option available for HPF... and LPF for that matter! Julian Pöhler, the guy behind the Guma Drive and Guma Antique kits (clones of those famous pedals made in Finland!), is bringing out an HPF/LPF pedal kit with DI called "Vong" in the next few months. If his prototype is anything to go by (and it usually is with Julian!) it'll be 125B sized and have controls for HPF freq, LPF freq, volume and switches to enable disable each of the filters. Ground lift for the DI of course. No footswitch. I've already expressed an interest in one and he's to let me know when they're generally available. He usually sells direct and through Musikding.de. I've had discussions with Dood on the DIY pedal thread about building one of these for myself, but if someone is doing a nice, tidy kit (and I've yet to find tidier than Julian's work) with the same function, I'll just build that instead!
16. These have been pulled from sale again. Got in just in time Ped...
17. These are excellent little combos. I love mine, and despite my gear collection being akin to a revolving door sometimes, my wee Ashdown has always stayed put. Highly recommended these...
18. Good golly I need to get some stuff sold...
19. Holy bargain bass preamp batman!
20. 3. You have a Roadworn P as a backup
21. Beautiful bass, but for goodness sake control your commas!
22.
You can get it if you really want (x3) but you must try... Try and try... Try and try.... You'll succeed at last! (Sorry folks, a bout of Jimmy-Cliff-itis)
I was going to counter with some Simply Red... but I can't bring myself to...
23.

Awesome!
24.
I have managed to set up my triple band compression, dual signal paths and I've started on my drive routings. I also saw a video of a guy using the Helix to also provide his IEM headphone mix too. That was just too cool!
Ooh that sounds good!
