You'll be significantly increasing the weight of your lifts in order to reduce the item count by 1! I'd make this change for tone but I wouldn't change if you like how you sound.
it may actually be an overall weight reduction (and one less trip to the car - so all could be done in one trip) as I'd not have to bother with my pedal case (which is fairly hefty) and the separate amp head as the sound would be entirely in the amp?
They will just not learn, for the past two years i have tried to get them to control their volume levels but alas they will not learn. I have given them the next two gigs to sort it out or i leave the band, they thing i am being unreasonable am i ?
You've given them 2 years to sort it out and finally a clear ultimatum of 2 more strikes and then they're out, I'd say you're been suitably reasonable matey.

So currently I have: DHA VT-1 which I use to valve-ify my Acoustic Image Focus II and it does sound really good (especially through my EAD foundation 212 - which is 4ohm btw), I'd like to cut down on the amount of stuff I have to carry though so was wondering whether an all valve head might be the way forward as the DHA is 'always on'... I'm mostly using my Fender MIM Cabronita p-bass with this set-up. What I've no idea about is: What other options are there (besides Ashdown CTM stuff and Matamp) How much power will be needed to be comparably loud and have that valvey break-up (I run my AI on about half and it's a 500W head) single notes when played fingerstyle are clean-ish but fat, pick playing gives a bit of break and double stops have distinct drive but all with lots of juicy fat bottom. Budget won't be massive either, mebbe £750 (once my jazz sells anyway) the ability to DI in certain circumstances would be v useful too, I know it doesn't sound the same as straight-outta the cab but the flexibility of both would be beneficial...
how many pedals can it fit?
I've had... Back row - boss tu3, 3 mxr pedaps and an sft Front row - 2 tc pedals, a pickle pie b and a gap Power velcro'd underneath. The board measures 430*320. Side note...shipping to Europe wouldn't be cost effective as for some reason sending anything out of the uk is mega expensive so it'd be cheaper to buy a new one within mainland europe and pay shipping on top
Hurrah! that's the one I ordered this morning
...which arrived yesterday tea-time and which also fits perfectly my DHA and with plenty of headroom too!
Ive got one of these. Had if for years, gigged it massively. Still in great nick. Recommended
Cheers buddy, they're astonishingly good for the money, plenty of space for pedals but not unnecessarily big to make keeping it somewhere a bit tricky either!

I'm very tempted by the Ashdown CTM100 (I think that's what it's called) or a Matamp if I decide to fly first class!
Bugger.
sorry bud

tried one, liked it, would have another if my EAD was swallowed by a whale or stolen, can't see me parting with it otherwise though
If you ever consider selling it.... can I have forst ebbs/dibs?
I'll put you on the list mate
Sadly indeed. I'd love one of those... I suspect that many cabs would sound a bit rough in comparison (to what I've read/heard).
Indeedy mate, it's a pleasure every time I play through it! ...and a real shame that Dave's just not got the interest in them to warrant making another batch! They're unspeakably amazing!
I'm proud of myself. I resisted the temptation to reply "on the floor". Oh no ... wait ...
Having had a barefaced s12t I can empathise with the naysayers in that it's aesthetics were simple but rugged, it had a kind of 'sh*tkicker' look to it that would be perfect playing down the 'dog & duck' and it weighed less than a 'fully laden african or european swallow carrying a coconut'! The sound was also simple sh*tkicker, the tweeter felt a tad harsh to me but the cab produced an enormous amount of sound with good girth! It didn't quite have the detailed mid-range I was looking for but it was a blo*dy good cab and I'd have another if my current cab was removed from me by misadventure! I now have a (sadly out of production) EAD Foundation 212 and it does the things the barefaced does which is be lightweight (but not quite as light) and sound enormous but it has a little more sonic refinement without sounding polite, it's exactly like playing through a PA cab and it's got oodles of headroom so whatever I put into it is exactly what comes out! It can do pristine hifi (the s12t couldn't imo) and it can also do gritty fat valvey p-bass stuff all with equal aplomb.
