1. Using one with one and two cabs..........its big.
2. Hi Kedo, Following your link, I was reading that the models were reliced to look as if they were made in 1964, and yet in your photos the bass looks mint? Have I misunderstood somewhere. Good wishes, Paul.
3. ROQSOLID Has The Bases Covered…. One of the most annoying experiences of the gadget generation is the lack of joined up thinking that seems to accompany the release of most new products. I refer mainly to the necessary accessories and after sales service that is so important. Try buying a proprietary brand case for a new mp3 player or phone. You will probably have to wait months before anything appears. And so with musical instruments and equipment. Thank goodness most mid-priced and above guitars normally come with their own cases. But as for amps and speakers etc., how many times have I bought kit, only to be told that cases and covers should be available in a few months time. There was no exception when I recently purchased two small and beautifully formed Aguilar speaker cabinets and their baby amp the TH500. Cases and covers will be available soon........ and they come from America, so we'll have to wait for a shipment, unless you want to pay extra shipping costs. Well extra shipping costs on top of fairly expensive brand covers led me to search for a worthy alternative. This I found in the form of a partnership of two brothers: Bryn and Lee, who trade under the name of Roqsolid, based in Birstall, West Yorkshire. They are basically custom case manufacturers, who have kept past order specs to build up an off the peg service. I checked out their website having heard some good comments about their products, and soon got down to measuring up my cabinets for a quote. After a few very helpful telephone conversations with both Bryn and Lee I placed my order for one amp and two speaker covers. The covers arrived just two days after ordering and the quality is superb. According to their website "our covers have an outer layer of waterproof poly-propylene, an inner layer of 250gm heavy-duty table-felt and the layers are laminated together for rigidity and durability. I chose the white webbing (there is a choice of six colours) which joins the seams of black material. I am extremely pleased with them as you can probably tell. On many counts Roqsolid scores high: their covers and well designed, expertly made, using appropriate strength materials, with helpful advice from the team, they look good, and are competitively priced; and they arrived at lightning speed, rather than three months after I need them. Roqsolid certainly has all the bases covered. (For further information: www.roqsolid.com.uk)
4. Hi Janmatt, Thanks for your message and offer. I sold a multidrive about 3 months ago as it was surplus to requirements....... Cheers, Paul.
5. Hi, Been using TH500 for a couple of months. No noticeable click on mute. Good wishes, Paul.
6. I've been using a pair of SL112's with the TH500 amp. They are a great combination. Playing with drums and 2 guitarists who play loud and I can keep up with them easily. What I find is important is to place the cabs on something to raise them up a little, in my case a flightcase. Also I make sure they are not too close to the wall in order to give the ports space to do their thing. Ultimately what I like about the set up is the sound quality. Plenty of variation is available on the amp in terms of tone and the speakers seem to handle it all well. I also use an Aguilar compressor pedal to good effect. Certainly worth checking out. 7. Was using light weight Markbass 4 x 10 and 2 x 10 for the last 5 years, and although lightweight, I still found the 4 x 10 difficult to lift, though have been very happy with the sound. Recently I changed to Aguilar. The TH500 amp weighing a mere 4lb and pumping out 500 watts of superb sound coupled with 2 SL112 cabinets. The cabs weigh a mere 25lb and handle 250 watts each. Last weekend I had the chance to really see what they could do. I was amazed at their sound quality running the amp at about 10 oclock on the master vol and competing well with 2 guitarists and drums. I can't recommend them highly enough. If you are looking for seriously super light weight cabs that really do handle the lows, mids, and hi's, check out the SL112. I guess the only drawback for some is: as a stack they, together with the tiny amp do look rather diminutive, but people will be amazed at the sound emanating from such a small set up........ cool eh! And at a push you could trave to a gig by bus...... well perhaps not. ATB, Paul.

10. Mine's an "83 Fullerton Factory '62 Jazz Reissue with stacked pots. As you can see its very well played in and has a great feel to it, and great sound too. Fullerton History: (from a Fullerton Strat ad) 1982 fullerton factory fender '62 reissue stratocaster. serial #V000410, making it one of the earliest known fullerton factory pieces. neck dates to '82 although a little faded because of the pencil numbering, confirming this. for those less familiar with the fullerton factory, it was fender's first return to the pre-cbs leo fender era of making guitars. these are known as some of the best instrument fender produced since '64. built on the pre-cbs machines to vintage spec by master technicians, these instruments play like butter and sound as close as you'll get to a legitimate pre-cbs fender. not to mention, this neck is stamped "J. Torres", one of the most famous fender neck builders ever. just google "j torres fender" and see what people have to say about the quality of his necks. 11.
To be honest I think they are over rated. If you want a real vintage classic with extreme rarity value you need a seventies dark chocolate toffee crisp bar, the ones in the blue wrappers. Now that was something. I would swap one of my basses for one of those.
I've heard they get to sound quite brittle with age. Has anyone else experienced that?

14. Hi David, Another question re the refinish. Do you know what sort of lacquer was used? Eg. was it as in the 82-85 Fullerton Reissues the nitrocelulose lacquer a la pre CBS or was it a more modern process? ATB, Paul.
15. EBS Dynaverb, mint condition, black label, true bypass, just a few months old, used little, this unit has an amazing array of variation in sound and is truly professional.
