  1. What can you say about this combination...... its industry standard.... tried and tested and used by so many pros. Amp and cab in good condition and working order. Covers and leads inc. Collection only, alas due to size and weight. I also have a second SL112 cab if yo are interested. Full rig would be 1395.00. Not prepared to sell amp separately at this point.
  2. There's an interesting account of how the post covid lockdown boom affected the retail music industry and as it expanded, venture capitalists took over PMT and other chains........ when the market began to shrink in the last year or so....... the big profits to satisfy the VC's wasn't there.... hence the closures. Check out Chat TGR Episode 38 for the actual story...........
  3. Apparently Hobgoblin in London is Paul McCartney's favourite music shop....... it's spitting distance from his MPL Offices in Soho Square. Maybe he'll invest in the company?
  4. DV24 are still in Romford, just around the corner from PMT but DV24 are online only now. They seem to keep stock at Romford as well as Germany. Although PMT has been my local music shop, I've tended towards Andertons or Thomann as they were generally more competitive. Hobgoblin, the folk music chain have recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for their shops and are offering a 19% ownership share of the company through the raising of capital. They are obviously feeling the pinch......
  5. They seem to be selling like hot cakes....... Most suppliers are waiting for new stock. Last night Gear4music had 5 in stock..... all gone by late this morning!
  6. Mint Ibanez Bass Gigbag, came with an SR2600, now surplus to requirements. £30 posted (UK mainland)

  7. Sold my Aguilar compressor Steve. Had an amazing meet up: I just happened to be going near to where he worked.... great guy and a pleasure to do business with. Many thanks.
  8. What’s happened to GAK Brighton? Shop has been closed for several days, website taken down; doesn’t look good!
  9. Just wondering why PMT price this combo at £1939.00 whilst Thomann can sell it for £1399.00. Seems like a vast difference!
  10. They are expensive, though I managed to save around £300 by importing from Germany. Still expensive but quality is superb. It's the size to sound quality ratio combined with the amps super facilities which makes the difference and, I guess why they sell? Got mine to replace an Aguilar TH500 & 2x 112's. No regrets.

  17. Fender Jazz Bass ’62 Reissue (1983) Fullerton Factory Reluctantly selling my Fender Jazz: the details below are from the original advert. Purchased from Andy Baxter Bass Guitars in 2012 (Hackney, London. Now in Leeds). I have the original receipt. It was owned and played for many years by someone in Boston USA. I also include some info on Fullerton Factory Reissues. This 1983 Fender Jazz Bass Fullerton factory 62 reissue pays tribute to the original version of the model. Features include an alder body with nitro cellulose lacquer finish in 3 colour sunburst, lightly tinted maple neck with a 1962 U shape. Rosewood fingerboard, and vintage frets, vintage style Jazz bass pickups , stacked concentric control knobs, tortoise pickguard, vintage style hardware. The finish shows lots of natural play wear. The relic look on this bass is all natural which adds to the time period feel. (This is not a relic repro). The nitro shows lots of weather checking. The neck dates 23rd Jan 1983 the pots date 1982, body date unclear. Missing thumb rest & metal covers. The truss rod works and the bass is set up nice and low with a very fast action. The bass comes with a period correct case. The frets were stone ground back in 2012 and remain good due to occasional use. Fullerton History: (from a Fullerton Strat ad) For those less familiar with the Fullerton factory, it was Fender's first return to the pre-CBS Leo Fender era of making guitars. these are known as some of the best instruments Fender produced since '64. Built on the pre-CBS machines to vintage spec by master technicians, these instruments play like butter and sound as close as you'll get to a legitimate pre-CBS Fender. (Not to mention, this neck is stamped "J. Torres", one of the most famous fender neck builders ever. just google "J Torres Fender" and see what people have to say about the quality of his necks). This bass is available from Essex….. collection only….. I have checked prices in Europe and USA and are currently between £3000 and £4000 for both Fullerton Reissue Precisions and Jazz’s Price is £3500.00 Bank transfer prior to collection. For further details, please PM me. Thanks for looking.
