1. Mesa Big Block 750 in Head Case with Original Foot-switch [s]£575[/s] SOLD Recently serviced and lovely Big Block 750. In the £200 extra Mesa head case to make it look the part on top of cabs, and looks great! Great power through my Barefaced BT2 and that great, weighty, authoritative sound synonymous with the M-Pulse series. Dedicated OD channel which i'd say is closer to the Sheehan style of OD. This can be switched in with the foot-switch which has both "Overdrive" and "Tuner mute" switches. Was used in a studio before my ownership and then only used for the 'big gigs' in my possession. The head case it clean and unmarked with some solid spring loaded handles on the sides for your convenience. Low price because I really need to recoup some cash ASAP. Based in Maidenhead, between Reading and Slough. Collection preferred, but as always happy to arrange shipping etc. but would have to be at the buyer's expense with this one given how cheap it is already! Thank you for looking! 2. Absolutely, I can go to any of the other instruments with which I have (some) ability and enjoy it for a while, but I'll always get bored after a while. I never do with bass! Plus being on stage with 4/5 strings instead of 6 or a brass instrument feels so much more... Natural, I guess! I also love that feeling of tying everything together with the drummer and being that essential foundation layer whilst influencing all three of rhythm/time, Harmony and Melody. Just being in that musical pocket, just out of the limelight, having a great time whilst linking up with a group of other musicians is where I feel I'm meant to be...
3. Thank you all! It is a truly beautiful guitar, even if it has 2 (or at least one) too many strings for round here!
4. Yamaha SG3000 [s]£1650[/s] £1,250 An absolutely phenomenal guitar! Beautiful hardware, inlays and binding. Ebony fretboard. It has coil taps on both pickups and the original hum buckers. Restrung, cleaned and set up just for sale. Never gigged but used at home. Tiny ding on the front and two scuffs on rear pickup cover as can be seen in the photos. Unmarked, original hard case. Shipping available, collection preferred. Based in Maidenhead, between Reading and Slough. Thanks for looking! 5. Zoom B9.1u £110 shipped I have been very impressed with this board/Multi fx/(whatever you want to call it!) and the range of tones it can produce from the various amp and pedal models. It has been used primarily for my practice whilst I was away from home and has rarely ever been used on the floor (maybe twice?). Not gigged so in good condition, bought here maybe a year or so ago. Comes with a Gator case and power supply. Happy to ship anywhere in the UK or feel free to collect. Based in Maidenhead, between Reading and Slough. Thank you for looking! (Pictures coming soon)
6. Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout 15" Combo - [s]£750[/s] 725 ono Bought here about 2 years ago, this is the rarer 15" version of the combo. The 15" cab gives it a really fat sound and one on which I have been complimented many times. There is little damage to the cab, only a couple of knocks which cab be seen in the photos but they're hardly noticeable in person. The head has been serviced in the last 3 weeks so working beautifully. Slip cover included. Due to size collection is preferred. However, I am happy to meet within a reasonable distance, or ship (at buyer's cost - sorry!). Based in Maidenhead, between Reading and Slough. Thanks for looking! (Head used in the attached video through a Barefaced Big Twin II)
7. Mesa Boogie Walkabout Head A video review/tone demo of the Walkabout through my Barefaced Big Twin II. Hope it's of help to you. http://youtu.be/v9nCMFuwTaw
8. It's market value surely dropped drastically from me making that comment: just as well I intend to keep it indefinitely! Thank you very much for your words of encouragement, Sir.
9. My first review type video as I'm looking to start up a channel of bass related bits. I hope it's of some use to someone! The bass was bought in 2011 and I believe it was the very one that was reviewed by BGM in the Sklar & ABZ review, the issue with Shavo on the cover. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ2hIlqi5r8 Enjoy!
