1. That finish looks incredible!
2. Nah not gonna split, but I'm selling a better set of Fender pickups in the "Other" section!
3. Very cool bass, especially for that price! The neck is kinda confusing me a bit though...it looks to be a similar relic'd Nitro finish to the Road Worn series but the specs say Urethane.
4.
bump!
Jazz

Just finished building a Fender Jazz based on the 1960 model. 80's Japanese E-series body, Wizard P/J Big Combo, Gotoh 201 bridge, MIM Jazz neck (refinished in nitro & with USA 62RI tuners), '62RI contol plate (vol/vol). Might add a b/w/b scratchplate at some point, might not! And will also eventually replace the neck with a Road Worn J Neck.

8. Thank you! She sounds awesome too after chucking in a Wizard P/J Big combo and a Gotoh 201! Just gotta get a custom scratchplate made and wait for a nice Jazz neck to pop up on eBay and she's done! *NOTE: I ordered the P/J pickups yesterday afternoon from Andy and they arrived in under 24hr!*
9. Do you still have the unloaded control plate?
10. Would be interested in the neck if you'd consider parting it out.
11. Here's a little Fender build I've started. Picked up a beaten old 80's MIJ body from basschat's very own Ash. Got a Gotoh 201 bridge incoming, along with a RI '62 3-hole control plate. There is a P bass pickup route under that scratchplate, so I'm gonna make the most out of it and get a Wizard Big P/J set in there. The neck bold on is currently my old MIM Jazz neck, but I'm planning on replacing it with an Road Worn Jazz neck very soon! The body's on the heavy side...alder I think. Really impressive sustain; notes seem to last forever! The finish is interesting in that it seems to either have a black undercoat, or started life as a black bass being getting an antique white respray at the factory...perhaps due to a painting error.
12. Fender MIJ Jazz control plate, standard 4 holes. Chrome, great condition, unloaded. £7 posted Thanks!

14. Updated photos. As you can see, the finish almost always looks different!
