1. Just bought a TC Electronic RH450 of Gareth which was delivered extremely promptly, and is exactly as he described it. He has proved to be a pleasure to deal with.
2. In a similar fashion, I've had a Mex Jazz Deluxe for a few years now and have loved it, and indeed still do. However, of late I've had an urge to get a P. After a few false starts concerning available funds, I've taken the plunge and today took delivery of a new Squire Matt Freeman Precision, in vintage white, black pick guard and maple fretboard with tinted lacquer (looks fantastic). My only reservation before taking the plunge was the playability of the P neck, as I'd got really used to the thin jazz neck. I'd played a few P's in stores at the back end of last year, but there's never enough stock on hand to try out back to back, and I certainly didn't find a relatively local store with stock of the Matt Freeman model..........my reservations were unfounded! Got it home and lowered the saddles a little, and WOW! I'm so impressed, a nice low action and no fret buzz make it a pleasure to play. I use it with an Aphex Bass Exciter I bought from another BC'er and I can't understand why I waited so long before getting a P. The combination (after some dial tweaking) is fantastic, there is so much bottom end, and with clarity. I ALWAYS chose my jazz over the other basses I had, but now I really can't put this P down.
3. Just agreed a deal on my GT-6B with Andy who paid immediately. Can't fault him. Have confidence in dealing with this BC'er, for those who haven't yet, he's a gent.
4. Conversely, you could argue that if you've collected it you've had opportunity to "inspect" it and therefore, if you take it away, have "accepted" it, with no come back? No intention to be sceptical, but there are always two sides to every coin!
5. Oxford dictionary quotes, "Definition of musician noun

a person who plays a musical instrument, especially as a profession, or is musically talented."
so, in that context, you are a musician

7. did strike me as being odd that you'd provide no description and have no reserve on a guitar that, if it was original, may be worth a LOT of money??? Perhaps the lack of info is testament to the fact that it's not what it appears?
8. Only a few hours left on this, serial on neck plate suggests a 63 Pre CBS model, what's the 3rd control for????? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FENDER-BASS-/321050561714

10. Just bought an Aphex Bass Exciter from Karl. Pedal gives me the sound I was looking for and it arrived within a couple of days of me sending payment. The transaction couldn't have gone smoother, trade with confidence with Karl.

12. I may be interested in this if another BC'er takes mine. I'll drop him a line now to see if he's interested. Cheers Rowley

15. It's another one of the benefits of changing my rig to TC Electronic RS cabs and head, I have an X Type Jag saloon and can get my whole rig, plus bass (in a gig bag) in the boot and still take passengers in the back seats. Not that that helps you of course........but perhaps a different angle!
16. For sale is my Boss GT-6B which is in excellent condition and fully working. Comes complete with power supply, 2 x jack to xlr leads for stereo output straight into a desk, and a very sturdy flightcase (which also accommodates the power supply). Looking for £150. Will post at additional cost, but collection welcome......and I'll make you a brew! Regards Rowley
17. Thanks for that Clarky, hadn't seen that thread. Was a little confused by the "Basses For Sale" sub heading still saying " Please post all new adverts in the New Classified Section!"
18. What's happened to the classifieds section, I'm logged in but the "Classifieds Tab" doesn't appear at the top of the page?
19. My situation, posted eralier in this thread, led to the THREAT of an "official warning" by a moderator........who I think needs to get out more!
20. I've just had a strange experience with another BC'er. They advertised a second hand item at £200 plus £27 postage (new cost of item £255 including delivery). As I was looking for one of these, I made an "offer" of £200 to include delivery and a commitment to buy if they accepted. Eventually got a pm stating that "postage was not included in the price" (I knew that, that's why I made "an offer") which didn't exactly accept or decline the offer, or even open up a negotiation. At that point I decided that for the extra £28 it may well be worth purchasing new so advised the seller of such & pursued it no more. Within 24hrs the seller then alters the original ad to a total of £196 INCLUDING postage and marks the item SOLD. Got an identical item now of another BC'er for less still, so I ended up in a better position anyway, but how strange that you'd sell for less than you already had an offer for???? Just as an aside, this has happened on a previous occasion. Perhaps the seller takes the huff that someone has the affront to make them a "realistic" offer so just refuses out of bloody mindedness.........and then is too proud to accept the original offer when they realise that their asking price was a preventing a sale???
