1. Got Stingray from Colin. I must pinpoint BULLETPROOF packing! Very trusty, willing and comunicative seller! I would recommend this Gentleman to everyone who wants smoth bussiness! Jakub Czech Republic
2. http://support.fender.com/service_diagrams...-0209C_SISD.pdf definitely must have stacked knobs if its claimed as US RI or AV Iam sorry for arguing here, but even if by some kind of randomness ever has been made 3knobs US 62 RI (now known as American Vintage, before as 62 RI) I dont believe they would originally have chrome knobs. Fender does not care much about period correct things on RI or AV series(mostly in details), but I doubt they would make such fault and put chrome knobs on JB(they spare chromes for Squiers). Sorry man but Low end basses should put out explanation if they sold you bass in such shape. I dont mean to doubt origin of your bass, I just justifying questions on control plate arrangment. Get stacked knobs worth about 100 USD and I must say that its wery good investmnet!!
3. Few months bump! No need to get rid of but if anybody looking for great instrument this one is perfect...
4. £790 + shipping Thats insane for fully profesional instrument....
5. What about 875 SHIPPED???
6. No love for such beauty??? Its something wrong with price ? I think its quite reasonable offer maybe I would say "my loose your gain" when I look at price you would pay for new
7. Hi folks, I would like to offer you quite interesting bass. Its MusicMan Sterling with two humbuckers (HH model). Of course its Made In USA model. Features: Body: Ash Neck maple w/ rosewood fingerboard (similar dimensions to Jazz Bass neck) Pickups: 2xMM Ceramic humbuckers Pickups selector gives you 5 options of pickup combinations 1) "Classic" MM bridge humbucker 2) Outter coils 3) All four coils 4) inner coils 5) Neck humbucker each combination has coils wired in series Colour : Saphire Black Birthdate : 20-3-2006 Original hardshell case included 3 band EQ. Perfect introduction of this models on following vids: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akwJz_KRlW8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6q_ZosDwRY Few photos : http://student.fsid.cvut.cz/~VYVADJAK/Nová%20složka/ Overall condition is perfect, It has only one ding - just paint, NOT WOOD, its located about one inch from strap button. There were absolutely NO mods on this bass - all original!! Frets are perfect, action very VERY comfortable. I have this bass for about 3/4 year, it has never let me down. Only "minus" is that its MusicMan Bass and it will be MusicMan sounding bass even if you make crazy combinations with eq or pickups it will still stinks like MusicMan . I am not sure if such HH models are nowdays "in stock", I think that most MusicMans are on order....2-3months waiting So if 1H Sterling/StingRay is too "simply" for you, or you want MusicMan sound but dont like thick Stingray neck(SLO´s are so rare that I´ve never seen used for sale) this could be your choice. This bass is priced NEW at Thomann same as Sadowsky Metro - about 1950 Euro. I want 1100Euro or £875 (hope rate is correct). Bass is located in Czech Republic. Shipping is not problem, of course. I have ebay nick "Jakubv2005" or Talkbass nick "Kubs" Check my ebay/TB feedback and see that I am not scum/scam I need to downgrade little bit , so I could accept also trade for another bass with cash from you - ideal would be MIJ Precisions, Peavey Millennium USA models or another "not so great but good" basses. 8. so eden is sold or still available??sorry for my unconsiouncness ignorance
9. HATE YOU!!!!! thats perfect rig!!!!!just one tone played through this can kill all those digital mark-nano-bassists :-D
10. there is no major difference in quality between pieces of same serie, its just hit or miss in matter of setup.....I dont know why so small number of players take in view setup of bass when testing in shop.... I´ve seen horribly set-up MIA Fenders, and perfectly set-up MIM´s and vice versa.....And hope you dont doubt which one plays fine and which ones plays like sh*t..... Do you ever mess your bass when trying set-up it?? I think many players have experience that their own bass with messed setup plays like worst bass in world.....
11.
Did you try another bass in the shop to see if was something that affected all of them? I had no noise issues whatsoever with my 2001 US Jazz Deluxe and its, er, 'Noiseless' pups.... It was really good actually - one of those basses I wish I hadn't sold.
YES but you have older with NOISELESS they are ceramic they shouldnt catch static noise I think ......and they are also in present MIM deluxe models, so they are different than in newer USA Deluxes which have SCN´s. I think Noiseless are considered little les warm than SCN´s but I dont think so....its just rumor from players which judge by "ceramic" pickups. I had Deluxe MIM with Noiseless and for me they are better than SCN´s in terms of "noise". (both were designed by Bill Lawrence)
12.
Thanks for your answer ! I generally loved this particular bass a lot.Feel high quality when I got in my hands (its just that noise that concerns me) ...But it will be a stretch (regarding price) , hope Its worth it p.s. for example I play Peavey Cirrus BXP and I haven't ever experienced any noise from its pickups ....
As I said it due to preamp and pickups configuration, preamp is not best in the world but its very good and I think noise is not pre fault, and as it amplifies signal from pickups it amplifies also noise from pickups.... I have also little problem with poping sometimes, but for this time I dont care about it because dont have money to solve it when it doesnt bother me much. But I confess it could be pain in a$$ for some picky players. Peavey has active pickups, they won´t do this. Its sad that Fender cant do anything right way...general I must say its another reason why hate Fender I´ve read on Talkbass few words from John Suhr which designed first version of deluxe preamp: This is his words "My first Job when I joined Fender was to make the preamp and pickups for the Deluxe basses. I dont remember when they started changing things but it was after I left some 11 years ago. I do have a better version of the single pole piece pickups with a standard magnet setup. We couldnt do it the way I wanted originally due to manufacturing not being able to keep the tolerances. The preamp was mine as well but I preferred the 2 band which was never released. We still offer these pickups and preamps, the preamp do run on 9 or 18V and can be had as 2 band or 3 band" With the EQ I feel I have refined the 3 band as well as prefer the 2 band in reality. At Fender they decided to limit the range of the controls since some bass players just turn everything up and with a 3 band it just turns into a mess. Make your own picture about Fenders manufacturing abilities and attitudes
13.
The Fender site will tell you about all of the 'innovations' on the MIA deluxe in 2008. I own a couple of Deluxe Fenders and I love them. The noise is cause for concern though. The shop might have a 'noisy' supply or other equipment increasing interference, but it shouldn't be that noisy. What you've described implies a fault with the preamp. On the subject of the preamp, it's the weakest part of the bass. I replaced the preamps in mine with Audere ones. That model bass isn't exactly exclusive. There are a few for sale on this forum that will be cheaper, better set up and well looked after. Unless you have your heart set on an ash body, I'd suggest you give the for sale section a once over. If you can find a bass that has already had the preamp upgraded, then even better.
I must say that there is nothing wrong with preamp, its very fine preamp also in the question of sound, there is problem with pickups as they are passive they are susceptible to static noise which depends on electricity. I think you will find also at audere WHAT TO DO WITH NOISE, because preamp simply multiplies noise which pickups catch....so even allmighty audere fears that playes will spit on them due to noise which is not their fault. I thinks deluxe models are exclusive ones, just take a simple look at wood choice...they have wood better than standard series wood. I think Deluxe is one of best model in fenders history.....REALLY!!!
14. bongo is relatively fine.....look at those foderas(I mean that imperial or emperor II monsters) or warwicks(their legendary condom horn)....or that madness Sabre.....these are really ugly....Bongo if anything is at least interesting....dont even mention BC RICH.....

Ampeg??
Yep played through the GK this weekend with a 6x10 EBS cab, that head aint going nowhere! I loved it. The EBS cab was great, but way to heavy and big. I'm now thinking... More money, but a 4x10 of a fair quality plus an EBS (or similar) NEO 2x10 for carting around.
God of bass should bless you!!
16.
I've owned a LOT of bass heads, including Ampeg, Trace, GK and SWR. My little WT300 sounds better than any of them. It's pretty clean, but not totally sterile, with a bit of valve-y bloom in the lower mids. Perhaps that's why it loves my Precision so much. Someone said that Eden made the best pre amp around, but then voiced the amps so you didn't have to use it and this is how most people use them. I only use the parametrics for dialling out bloom with some basses in some venues. The cabs sound outstanding - my 210XLT was a revelation. I really need a 112 to go with it. They are incredibly heavy though...
Yes its not such clean amp...especially if you´ve owned something like Demeter VTBP 201 but it still got long way to Ampeg Iam tempted by change of Ampeg HLF by 210+112 from Eden David Series....but Iam not sure if they will be enough - even when they got "super" efficiency and more power than HLF - Ampeg got only 98dB and 500W against 103/250W and 103/350W.....ampeg is monster which can be pushed really LOW iam scared that I will miss that super low end responsibility of HLF.....I cant imagine that i could push HLF to "speaker fart" with non-deafing volume I like operability of 2 cabs and also got love for 12" speakers HELP ME And of course I expect EDEN cabs more suitable for Eden amps
17. I have only WT400 so Iam limited by 4 ohms but with WT550 I would be able to run both cabinets on full power of 750W.....that would be hell on earth. LOL
18. I should write some official apologize to eden....I am idiot - i dont know how or why I could judge Eden so badly. On last band rehersals I try eden with bypassed Demeter pedal preamp, and it plays fine, I was surprised how fine - but then I again turn on Demeter and play with it. Yesterday I bought VBC 810 Marshall cabinet and of course I wanted to test it with Eden. So at first I tried my Ampeg 410 HLF with Eden and I noticed that it plays very fine, then I plug eden into VBC....ouch that was punishment for me..it sounds AMAZING.....killer sound. Then again to Ampeg and i tried to fidlle little with eq on Eden, then ampeg became sound very nice and near to VBC with flat Eden. and then I plug "EQ´ed" eden to VBC-that was a holy grail sound!!!...I was nearly to crouch on knees before eden and beg for forgiving for my slanders! I have to add that I´ve tested VBC through sellers VBA 400 head before and it sounds not as good as Eden (maybe tubes gone, maybe bad room acoustic, maybe whatever ) VBA is huge sounding beast but it lacks some kind of "deeper" character - brutal power! no punchyness just rolling bass frequency. That must rule stadiums!!!! I also noticed that VBC810 has more midrange than Ampeg 410, and it is far more "clear" (not mean hi-fi but clearer) I have to turn on horn on Ampeg to get at least "half of clearness" of Marshall-maybe its another factor to take in view when I throw garabage on Eden. Very nice experience - I must admit Ampeg 4x10 that it can be compared with "freezer 810" with no shame but 810 is king....and also must say that Eden is very nice amp, and I take back all my words againt Eden....it just need boost some frequencies - and find your own settings or use more "suitable" cabinet.

Ampeg??
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh kill kill kill how dare you ! (just kidding btw )
:-D aaa Iam used on such reactions - you know when I was younger Ampeg was something like "holy grail" then I finally had opportunity to test SVT3Pro(even through those wooten cabinet 410).....I was not disappointed but not knocked off-just usual amp-but still respected it. Then I´ve gone through few amps and also had SVP Pro in straight comparision against SWR Grand Prix and this was begining of end for respect of ampeg...
20. Why this WHY!!! I would pay for only combo more that £1100 at Czech Rep.!!!! I should stop look at UK ebay or classfields..... this combo rulez
21. Deluxe P basses are great - I know that may conservative P players dont like such Fenders experiments but this one is excelent. I think this will be perfect add for your Deluxe JB.
22.
I'd put a clear one on, like Bacchus do with some of their bases. It does look amazing as it is though.
yes thats not bad idea....but I am not sure If I would like to dril holes for screws or put glue (yes I saw such things...) I am more curious about Ramp on this bass - I am used on thumbrest and dont feel comfortable to rest my thumb on brigde pickup, and ramp can be hold by pickups screws Simply I like "non-pickugard basses" without pickguard and "pickguard basses" with pickuguard
23. slim neck??? PEAVEY MILLENNIUM "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! usa made, were reatailed for 1500-2000USD you can find them for about 500USD at ebay. Its HELLL, I know Peavey doesnt get such popularity but these basses are definitely PRO´s!!!! just read their description!!! I own PLUS model (it means that it has D.tuner) I join picture from manual with specs - this bass really rules.....I has specs like todays hi-ends, it got very very high apprecitaions from bass player magazine - in fact they said that for 1700USD its UNDRERATTED!!!!! And if player could live with fact that not many of bassplyers would say " oh you got XZY (fill some of hyped products like fender, sad, lakie etc) they will live with smile on their mouth" because Peavey made TOP bass..... I have one and I could say it was very PRO bass - in terms of manufacturing it was better than any fender, sounds like it shoul MODERN AGGRESIVE... Its poor man Lakland MM+J bass - but not worst as price could suggest....
24.
It's missing a scratchplate imo, but that maple top is quite flash. Also lovin' the rosewood and blocks, very 70's.
iam not sure if it would be ok to put pickuguard on such "topped" bass....but its just question of subjecitve opinion.... rosewood and blocks yeah thats perfect....i like it very much..... Iam still tempted with electronics upgrade - but Iam still keeped by fact that I like sound as is - but you know- you are member of web forum and still temped by those "after market high end producers" I think I will keep it original I like active electronics much and pickups are very nice - bill lawrence know musical and pickups industry..... As 2-3 years user of web forum I learnt that most of gas is based on "something you dont have and your "virtual" coleague has" :-D :-D Of course I went through few GAS uprades and only minority of them was good step....
