1.
I do play this one. When I get home in an hour or so I'll check where I got the line from. Can't remember if it was in a book or from the net - not sure how accurate it is but I never noticed any major problems.
Thanks for that steve
  2. I've got to learn this pretty quickly and am pushed at the moment so haven't time to work it all out, looked on the net but they are pretty ordinary, just wondered if anyone had a half decent version of the bassline i could use to save me time. i'm sure it's not rocket science and i'm probably just being lazy sorry should have said we are doing it in the original key which is Em i believe cheers steve
  3.
Thanks Steve. Are you sure I can't tempt you with an addition to your Lakkie collection?!
sorry Nick you know my aversion to jazz basses but then again it would look good alongside the other 2 !!! good job i'm skint ha
  4.
BTW I'm not bothered about the J pickup but the J string spacing/nut width (altho your comment might still be valid). I'm told that Laklands might work in this respect (e.g. Duck Dunn).
Go with the duck dunn it will do exactly what you need, i have just got one and it is the best buy i've made, classic P sound with Jazz Neck on top of which it looks the dogs as well. steve
  5. Recently bought Dave_bass5's Duck Dunn and it came with spare black and white scratchplates along with the white pearl that was on the bass, however i already have a black one on my BG and a mint green one as spare so these are now surplus. will fit either Duck Dunn or Bob Glaub basses and both are in excellent condition looking for £15 each plus postage will get some pics up later thanks for looking steve
  6. This used to be mine and is a great example of lakland quality at a bargain price. Paul is a great guy to deal with too, have a bump on me mate cheers steve
  7.
I'm loving my chrome faced Ashdown RC 500 ABMII - it looks cool, sounds the bollocks and it's beautifully simple to use. Plenty loud enough too - I hope it doesn't break cos it's exactly what I need.
+1 me too
  8.
Thanks for the offer Steve, I used to have my GK 1001RBII head in an SKB shallow rack case and it was much less cumbersome. There's also the issue of the rear mounted power switch on this amp, which is tricky to reach from the front of the amp. I'll have to measure it tonight when I get home and do some research.
no probs if it can be any use to you let me know i get over to preston a bit so would happily drop it off, know what you mean about the power switch was a nightmare with the standard but is not bad with the shallow one.
  9.
Just acquired one of these and was wondering what rack cases other people are using for this head. I fancy something a bit shallower than the (Stagg) one it came in.
i've got one and use a gator 4u shallow rack case also houses a rack tuner and wireless and it's fine, used to have a standard Gator 4U found it a bit cumbersome this is much better. If you wanted to have a try out i have a 3U shallow gator that has no front cover ( don't ask ) but you're welcome to it if it would give you some idea on size. cheers steve
  10.
Thanks guys...... great stuff Keep the suggestions coming ATB Mark
we do Dakota and local boy in the photograph by stereophonics, mr brightside killers, sex on fire kings of leon, all go down really well at any kind of gig

  15.
Never Expected to see this up for sale! Sorry you did not get on with it Steve in fact if I had the money I'd buy it back its a serious bargain for anyone, Really can't see this hanging around Stunning Bass.
Si i know i'm seriously cheesed off as i love the look and sound but i now realise why i sold the other one, guess warwicks are just not for me thanks for the bump mate ! how's the vigier doing ? cheers steve
  16. sorry mate ! really wish i could get used to it but it's not to be, could be worse could be a lefty. cheers steve
  17. This is a record even for me, got this bass from Si ( Geddys Nose ) a couple of weeks ago, while i love the tone and look of the bass i just can't get used to the small body and the general feel of this bass. Have had a $$ before but loved the look of this so much decided to give it another go alas it's not for me. No 1 of 10 it has a swamp ash body with birdseye poplar top, birdseye maple neck and fingerboard, black hardware and 2 piece warwick bridge, passive mec/mm/mm pickups and active mec 2 way electronics. serial no is K138327-07 (01) is dated october 2007. full spec can be found here http://www.warwick.de/modules/produkte/pro...14473&cl=EN i don't need to bang on about how versatile these are and the birdseye maple neck is stunning. It comes with padded warwick gigbag and full pack including certificate of authenticity Trade wise would be interested in a fender P with a maple board or anything by Lakland 4 strings only please. For a straight cash sale would be looking for £600 posted. thanks for looking cheers steve
  18. Bought this off here from Keith ( Butler02) about 3 months ago to use for rehearsal and at home, however change in circumstances means i no longer need it. The original speaker has been replaced with an eminence gamma 10 300w. Not sure on age however i will try and get details it is British made. Had my reservations about the 1x 10 initially however i used it in full bamd rehearsal and it was plenty loud enough and if you added an extension speaker you could have a great little rig for gigging. Cash price is £200 posted However i would be interested in trades for either a P Bass of some type ( may be able to throw some cash in for the right trade) or a Bass head( min 300 watt) so if you've got anything hit me with it. will post some pics later in the meantime i'm sure keith won't mind me using his. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=31240 there is a review of the cab here http://www.ashdownmusic.com/press/reviews cheers steve
