Well, I don't need this any more. It's the standard Ashdown ABM 410 deal. Blue line drivers, adjustable tweeter, all works brilliantly and totally faut free. Cosmetically it is gigged- nicks in the tolex ets, and I have tried to show these in the pictures. When I got it in a trade deal I figured that through use this would happen anyway, and the most important thing is that it works. It is located in Nottingham, and I invite anyone to come and try it out. It sounds excellent. I can email a few more pics to anyone interested. I offer it for £180. Can't post it, but could meet someone within reason somewhere, or of course you are welcome to come and get it. Chris.

Well, finally back and able to post from my Mac, not my iPhone. Joy. Anyway, lets try and establish form out collective experience how the various members of the Littlemark family differ. We have: 500 watters LM3 LMtube LMRocker LM250 250 watter and 800watt fully digital: LM800 LMtube 800 Personally I have used LM3 and LM2 - great, big warm clean. No possibility of grit. And most folk seem to use and rave about these. However, I would be keen to know a bit about the ones with tubes, and indeed the rocker. Anyone got one and could chip in their honest thoughts? Chris

What are the LM tube ones like? Can they do the classic MB clean, and also have the tube blended for a bit of grit? -

So, I'm sat outside my caravan in Cornwall musing over a few things. I am midway through a rig change which came about through a shift to drums seeing me sell some gear to free cash for drum stuff. However I am now bassing full time and want to put together my ideal rig. I am liking my new BF Compact so far, and a couple more gigs will likely see me sure. However, like alot of folk on here I have been through a few heads ( mainly markbass to be fair - lm 2 and 3, ta501 and f1) and I keep reading about the other new micro head options. And then we read about folk chopping and changing, or even singing the praises of a particular head only to see in their sig that they have moved on to something else. FS section sees a fairly regular set of amps cropping up ( shuttles, streamliner, tc heads etc) but not quite as many markbass, ashdown Abm and others. Maybe this should tell me something. I want a rig that I can forget about, that is loud, portable and versatile. So in all honestly who is truly happy with their rig having used it for a good while without feeling the need to change?

In the final analysis the Ashdown may well be the head for me. I like it's depth and easy adjustability, but I keep getting drawn to the terror bass by great reviews, and previous good exp with their guitar stuff. Has anyone used both and thus feels able to do a comparison? Thanks Chris

Ok, last night was in a fairly large hall, typical wedding gig. Set up on stage, with PA support. It sounded great, plenty of top bite, big lows and good mids. Really it was great, nothing else to say really. I could hear myself in a loud band, and the PA did it's job. Not as big sounding as my abm410, but not far off at all. It would nor have quite been enough without Pa support, but everything was in the Pa as we always do and it was a big hall. Good stuff

There is a used compact fs on here. Might be worth a punt?

It's tomorrow Dave. Yep it's not tiny but that's not a prob at all. As you can see it's 19" wide and it's 13"'deep so it has a smaller footprint than a normal big cab and that it what counts. Very easy lift. If it's not loud enough I'll get a midget to go on top.
I'm glad the cab is working well in Notts set up. So, it looks like people who don't own a piece of equipment can come up with good advice and recommendations after all!
Not sure I get that reference re the recommendations etc? However, it is working well so far. Needs gigging though. And I will only fully recommend it after this - otherwise it goes back under Alex's policy. We shall see,

What a line - just been doing it with a student. Proper Jamerson. I am sure you all know this, but hey, I enjoyed teaching it. Lovely stuff.
