I've too many pickups and hardly playing upright nowadays so I'm offering some for sale.
First up is possibly the holy grail, if not the most expensive (at 823€ inc tax new!) for £400 posted

I haven't got the drill or reamer but they're available, or a luthier would fit it if you're nervous about drilling holes in your bridge! -

They're about £1700-2000, depending on the exchange rate and which options you choose.

The E string tuner on my Eminence bass is slipping, I need to replace it a.s.a.p.
Has anyone had to replace one before?
There are some cheep lookalikes and some decent looking Grovers on Amazon, just wondered if anyone has a spare original? -
I've got one of these and it sounds great, and it's easy to transport
here's our own Hugh Brad demonstrating one

This lady does ok with the Eminence

The SLB100 is by far the best for balance due to the full length body and weight at the bottom end, the 200 is top heavy and does tend to spin if you don't get the adjustment right.
The SLB200 has a thinner neck and slightly shorter string length.
The Mo Clifton is somewhere in between the two for balance and playability.
If you're anywhere near Harrogate you're welcome to compare my current trio, SLB 100, Mo Clifton & Eminence -

If I hadn't just got mine back yesterday after selling it to a Basschatter 3 years ago I'd have snapped this up.
Great portable basses!
And Mike is a real nice guy :-)

Zyex light sound amazing on my Stentor 1950. It also likes Kolstein Heritage and Spiro weichs
I've got Zyex on 4 basses (inc 2 EUB's) and much prefer them to Evahs, Obligato etc -

Is it strung E to C?

Had the pleasure of meeting Shaun and trying this bass on a gig this week.
It's very nice, lightweight, no noticeable neck dive on a strap, although I played it sitting on a stool for about an hour.
Very easy to get a happy sound. The flat wound strings are higher tension to the La Bella black nylons on my Rob Allen & Steinberger fretless basses but I soon got used to it.
I think Shaun should hang on to it, but if he doesn't someone else should be very happy with it! -
Just received a cab from Pete, my second purchase from him.
Was just as described with next day delivery.
Thanks Pete -
Or was it that Mrs Bassace was in earshot and she hasn't noticed yet?

Ya kept that quiet Roger!

Amp sold, thanks for all interest
Cabs still available -
Phil called round again and bought my fretless Wal 5.
Was happy to see it go to a good home.
Cheers Phil -

Could this be strung E - C or would the intonation be out?
Is there anywhere in the UK I could try out a range of EUBs?
in EUB and Double Bass
Posted
I've got 3 EUB's which you're welcome to have a look at.
Yamaha SLB100, Clifton (made in Britain) and an Eminence. I'm using the Eminence mostly so could be persuaded to part with one of the others, if not both.
The Yammy & Clifton are similar in that the have a solid body with removable body parts.
Not sure if I can make it to the bass bash, if I can I'll bring them along again.
