  1. I've too many pickups and hardly playing upright nowadays so I'm offering some for sale.

First up is possibly the holy grail, if not the most expensive (at 823€ inc tax new!) for £400 posted

I haven't got the drill or reamer but they're available, or a luthier would fit it if you're nervous about drilling holes in your bridge!

  2. The E string tuner on my Eminence bass is slipping, I need to replace it a.s.a.p.

Has anyone had to replace one before?

There are some cheep lookalikes and some decent looking Grovers on Amazon, just wondered if anyone has a spare original?

  3. The SLB100 is by far the best for balance due to the full length body and weight at the bottom end, the 200 is top heavy and does tend to spin if you don't get the adjustment right.
The SLB200 has a thinner neck and slightly shorter string length.
The Mo Clifton is somewhere in between the two for balance and playability.
If you're anywhere near Harrogate you're welcome to compare my current trio, SLB 100, Mo Clifton & Eminence

  4. Had the pleasure of meeting Shaun and trying this bass on a gig this week.
It's very nice, lightweight, no noticeable neck dive on a strap, although I played it sitting on a stool for about an hour.
Very easy to get a happy sound. The flat wound strings are higher tension to the La Bella black nylons on my Rob Allen & Steinberger fretless basses but I soon got used to it.
I think Shaun should hang on to it, but if he doesn't someone else should be very happy with it!
