I had a composite version - seemed a bit fragile, but was fantastically light. Always sounded great, with real depth.

I think it might be the one I've got now. It's got a repair to one edge.
It sounds superb with an Acoustic Image amp, folks are amazed at the sound and volume coming from such a tiny package.
I've also got a ply version which sounds a little brighter.

2. Here's a link to the amazing 8" driver which is 8ohms.

Not sure about the tweeter, think it's an Eminence.

A / B'd this cab with barefaced 10", this sounded much nicer.

There's lots over on Talkbass about these cabs

3. I'm a fan of small speakers for upright bass, especially the Crazy 8 cab with the Faital Pro driver.

I've got 3 but only need one for most gigs, or 2 for louder gigs.

I also like the Phil Jones cabs which I've got too many of.

It's great having a choice but they're taking up room in the house and cluttering my brain, so I'm going to offer some for sale (or trade if there's anything interesting out there.

I've got an as new & unused Greenboy Crazy 8 for sale in the amps & cabs for sale section if anyone is looking for one.

4. As new & unused - Greenboy Crazy 8 Cab with tweeter, in a custom blue crackle finish.

I traded a TechAmp Puma for this on a whim at last year's double bass bash with Guy Trigg.

I already owned 2 Crazy 8 cabs without tweeters and realised when I got it home that I wouldn't need the tweeter so decided to keep this in pristine condition until selling / trading it.

This is a full range cab that would suit any instrument or voice.

This one has a standard pole mount.

Upright bass players love them!

5. Since I got my Eminence bass back I haven't been using this, which is a shame as it plays & sounds great.

As you can see from the pic in the link below it has all the right bits in the right places.

It's one of the last solid mahogany bodies Mo Clifton built before moving to poplar or other wood.

Nice neck profile with a wide & thick ebony board.

Currently wearing Evah Pirazzi and a Shadow SH950 transducer it will take any standard strings and bridge pick up.

Comes with a gig bag & stand.

Great for amplified upright, no boominess to fight.

7. Just taken delivery of a very nice bass from Phil.

We had long chats about it and he recorded a video of the bass for me to see and hear it before shipping it in a bombproof package.

After I took delivery he phoned me to make sure I was totally happy with it, which of course I am.

Thanks Phil
