1. Its the picture/camera - in the flesh, you cant see a difference. Only took these on my crappy camera phone so its a bit pants, quality wise!
2. My stage 2 with yinyang inlays:
3. Excuse my rubbish photography, but picked up a PNut Signature Streamer from Bassdirect this morning: Purpleheart through the centre: Its number 39 of only 51 ever made, so its pretty special. Plays like a dream, massive growl and HUGE sound, spent a good few hours jamming on it before bringing it home. Love the darker woods too, seems to stand out next to my SS2, and I dont honestly think Ill be getting rid of either my SS2 or PNut anytime soon. Has some lovely inlays too:
4. Picked it up today:
5. Very unique - it loos genuine, but its a tough one as its a customised model. Not a bad thing mind, as you say i tplays and sounds great so if you like it, then go ahead buy it
6. I think I'm going to get some shiny LEDs fitted to it, just not sure if the swirly inlays can be kept or not?
7. As soon as I saw it, I rang up and paid for it - NO WAY was I going to let that go to someone else haha! Seems as though our very own BramleyApple is having the LX5 when I get back from holiday so I can at least recoup some of the costs too
8. Hey folks, So after the sale of a certain Streamer Jazzman LX5 fell through on here, I was hankering for a Thumb NT 5 and couldnt find one anywhere. Ive also been in love with the PNut Streamer for quite a while, but couldnt justify the HUGE (`£5k) pricetag for one, and then I came across this little beauty: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Warwick_Streamer_P_Nut.html ...and Ive paid for it, collecting Monday. Excited isnt the word!!!!!!!! Always loved the P Nut tone, and I have a feeling this thing will generate a ton of growl and punch with the new rock band - Im also due to perform with Tara at the Brownstock Festival in Essex on 29th August, and I WILL be roadtesting this monster then too Will do a full write up and recording with it after I collect it on Monday, but I am literally BURSTING with excitement!!!
9. Been an Elixir Nanoweb user for nearly 10 years (when they first came out) - every bass I have is strung with them. I changed my last set on the Streamer Stage 2 a few months back, as they where 6 years old and had been gigged almost every weekend throughout that period. Id say thats a pretty immense return on investment, even at £50 a set!
10. Does the 6 have a 2 or 3 band EQ on board?
11. I am seriously GAS'sing badly for a Warwick Thumb NT 5 - why on EARTH did I come back to these forums, when I KNOW its going to cause me to get GAS? Because its an awesome place, now I remember. Random mind dump over, on a serious note, for all of you Thumb owners out there - whats the preference? Is Bolt on that much different to the NT models, tone wise? I prefer the look and feel of a Neck thru, especially on my SS2, but wondered what I should look out for in terms of the good Thumbs vs. the bad thumbs (if any?) and of course if anyone wants to sell me a Thumb NT 5 then im right here
12. If that 6er was a 5er I would be All over it, sadly as tempting as it is I can't get on with a six at that price. GLWTS, stunning bass!

14. Performing with Tara Deane at the Maidenhead Festival this weekend: Not bad for a bit of poppy fun, simple songs, and a good laugh. Please excuse my dodgy vocals and bass playing!
15. Had a blast performing with Tara this weekend at the Maidenhead Festival - heres a few action shots! 16. Here is that very bass in action - please excuse my SHOCKING bass playing antics:
17. My Streamer LX 5 and Stage 2 5ers both have pretty chunky necks, more like a P bass but not quite as deep as a Stingray neck, if that makes sense. I would advise you to go and play one, as tht way you can get a proper feel for it before you spend your hard earned on something you may not like. Whereabouts are you located? If you are in the berkshire/maidenhead area, you are of course welcome to pop in for a jam on my 'wicks if it helps you make up your mind. Nothing comes to mind re: the short scale though

19. Comparing preamps is one thing, but trying to get that Warwick sound out of a Cort is like trying to get your Volkwagen Golf GTI to perform like a BMW M3 in my opinion. Nothing wrong with Cort and certainly not meaning to sound harsh, but if you want your bass to sound like a warwick, you need to own a warwick. This is why I sold off a Vigier Passion Series 3, Bacchus Jazz, an MTD somethingorother bass and loads of other fender esque jazz basses - I wanted a warwick, and now ive got 3 that serve me very well.
20.
Welcome back Luke I went and had a look at Tara's video...nice voice and good tune: http://www.youtube.com/user/MusicByTKD
Thanks - would have been better if the video was with the ACTUAL band, rather than the dude who made the video miming everything. It looks pretty obvious to me he wasnt playing any of the parts in the video!
