1. Mat is a great bloke to deal with. Great comms and a lovely cuppa when I went to pick up the combo. Everything totally as described. Thanks Mat
2. Glad I could do my good deed for the day Jon. It really is a marvellous bass, I just had the feeling it was going to sit unplayed. I also now know that I'm a Precision man through and through. Still have GAS for a Jazz though. Happy to see that it's gone to a good home. A G&L with a Jazz neck might just be the perfect bass.
3. Still got mine and play it daily. I've not done anything to it for ages since I changed the pup and the neck. I still need to change the wiring and possibly the pickguard, I think black would look nice. In two minds about this as the inverted snob in me quite likes the fact that it's origin still shows through. It's a great keeper as a back up and plays and sounds just right. 4. Jon bought my G&L bass. Great bloke to deal with, very prompt communication. All in all, a perfect transaction. Deal with confidence. Thanks Jon for a very smooth transaction.
5. The bass is now sold. Thanks for all your interest and comments. Steve.
6. A classic example of taking your work home with you.
7. Hi Greaser, glad to see that you finally joined the site. Not seen you at the Blue Shed lately but the Badass is in my bag ready for you. See you soon mate and welcome to BC. Steve.
8. I've got a MK2 Selmer treble and bass, great sounding amp and puts out a lot of volume for "only" 50 watts. Good to see someone else using one. Have you tried gigging with it?
9. The bass is on hold pending payment.
10. Photos added.
11. I recently received this bass in a trade and the tones it produces are amazing. However, the neck is just a little chunky for me and I know I won't use it as much as it deserves, So rather than have it sitting around I've decided to move it on. The condition I'd describe as very good with only slight signs of being used and I'm being very picky here. The body is Sunburst with a maple fretboard. I'm informed that it's a 2010 model with G&L on the bridge. I'm sure you all know about these basses and the range of tones they can produce from the active/passive humbuckers. If it had a slimmer neck I'd never let it go. I'm looking for £350 firm or would consider trades for a lightweight amp or lightweight but loud cab. Photos to follow later. Steve.
12. I've just completed a bass swap with Gerry and can only echo what BCers have already said. A total gent who went out of his way to make for a smooth transaction. Top bloke to chat with too. Thanks Gerry, a real pleasure dealing with you. Enjoy the Ibby. Steve.
13. I'm up for this year. Will keep an eye on the thread.
14. Will trade for a good conditioned Squier CV Jazz. Possibly VM Jazz with cash my way.
15. I recently fitted a Babicz bridge to my P bass and the sustain is much greater than the Badass 2 it replaced.
16. Open to trades on this one. My back keeps telling me I need a lightweight amp or cab.
17. I bought this new at the back end of 2010. It's the latest version with the midrange switch. Never been gigged, it's only been taken out of the house once for a rehearsal, so it's in immaculate condition. Very lightweight and I mean lightweight, super fast, slim neck, too slim for me, I'm more used to Precisions. Great sounding bass thanks to the Bartolini MK1 pickups and pre-amp. I'm looking for £350 plus delivery or you're welcome to come try in out at decent volume in Suffolk. I may be interested in trades for an equal value and condition Jazz. Let me know what you've got.
18. I think you have to use your imagination a bit on that one. Even more worrying is in his other items for sale he has a JV Jazz "Custom" starting at 1100 euros. Nice.
19. I bought a Babicz bridge from Eddie. First class transaction from start to finish. I'd gladly deal with Eddie again in the future. Thanks for the prompt delivery Eddie. Steve.

21.
Wow talk about falling on your feet, what a great genre to be covering! Gratz, glad its working out
Agreed, I'm really enjoying the music, nothing better than playing the stuff you listen to most. We've just about got a set together now, it just needs a lot of polishing before we unleash it on the unsuspecting public.
22. I'd forgotten all about this post but re-reading it, I think I owe some chatters an update. I didn't go to the rescheduled audition as I answered an ad for a more local band playing music I much prefer, Yes, early Genesis, Floyd and Rush I passed their audition and have been in rehearsal for a couple of months now and loving every minute of it. The fingers are holding up really well so far, I worry more for my hearing than anything else. Thanks for all the positive comments and good wishes on here. It's great to be a bassist again.
