  1. Like you, in the band where we use IEMs there are 4 if us. The singer wanted her own set, once she saw mine, but I thought there could be problems, as the new receivers might pick up my transmitter instead (or interference for everyone) but that turned out not to be the case. We used both pairs of transmitters independently without problems. Specifically to answer your question check the M-Wave product website for functionality for extra receivers. Bear in mind each transmitter will pump out the same common, stereo mix. We are still using our analogue 8x mono (2 of them can be stereo) input splitter and mixer, with the stereo out into a headphone amp with 4 outs with independent volumes for our IEMs.
  2. Yesterday my WP-12 packed up. It's had just over a month of use, perhaps a 3-4 hours every few days. Not impressed. Will submit for a refund in the morning. The unit can be charged but does not turn on. No green light, no audio to the receivers, no red light return charging. I noticed that it had lost all its charge and was warm to the touch.
  3. I've watched a few of those SBL videos too Luke, I was trying to get good synth sounds with my B3, now I also have a GP-5. Maybe you're right, but it's more a resource for those that have found tones that work for them in a particular style (with chains of effects or maybe a NAM file etc) can share them, rather than a discussion. For example... https://www.tone3000.com/tones/noble-28182 is a forum for sharing NAM tones, rather than discussing the ins and outs of them.
  4. Thanks! The headphone amp (MA400) is to provide my Pre bass signal to my IEMs, which I use wirelessly now. With bands that have an IEM mixer I get a stereo band feed (Inc bass) back into the TRS input into the MA400, adjust the volume level then mix in as much of my bass as desired into my IEMs. To recap: I send Pre to the band IEM mixer, get mixed Pre back, add extra DI'd Pre to my IEMs, send Post to my stage amp and to FOH. This is the signal path...
  5. Whoops, I just wanted to amend my post's title, not create a new post. Will try to delete this.
  6. Can a Mod delete this dupe post please....
  7. I'm looking to emulate great tones using the new multi-pedal I've just got, as I play in covers bands and looking to get more authentic tones. Hope to personally benefit from the wisdom and experience of basschatters and hope others can too.
  8. Nate Watts (I Wish, but Stevie Wonder)
  9. Alan Gorrie (Pick Up the Pieces, by AWB)
  10. George Porter Jr (Cissy Strut, by The Meters)
  11. Andy Fraser (Tons of Sobs album, Free)
  12. Paul McCartney (Come Together)
  13. Bernard Edwards (various, Chic)
  14. Phil Lynott (Boys are Back in Town by Thin Lizzy)
  15. Is there a master thread where we can list the artists or songs that we want to emulate the tone for and players can reply if they've managed it and how they've done it with effects etc?

    Valeton GP-5

Two days in and I'm happy so far with my GP-5. For comparison, the only pedal I've had in the past 15 years is a Zoom B3. Has anyone got any decent compression working on the GP-5? I have tried the two stock options but aren't happy with either. Maybe it's best to add some other modelling with either?
  17. This one - https://www.thomann.co.uk/harley_benton_powerplant_powerbank_mk2.htm It has powered my board for well over 8 hours...
  18. Thanks Mike, if I was closer I would come and attend for sure, it sounds truly wonderful and a lot of thought, effort and work goes into yours in Somerset. Coincidentally, you are also called Mike the name of @mikebass456 who I quoted and replied to as it seems he is fairly local, comparitively! I'm not afraid of the work. We'll see if there's interest - though there doesn't seem to be too much yet. I'll ask around the local guys too and see what they think.
  19. I've been using a twenty quid, dual, stereo receiver setup (M-Wave WP-12) for a while - which is an alternative I chose to try out rather than the Xvive U4 which a sax player friend has been using and who is happy with mono. Over the past 6 months she's had some interference but started to get intermittent drop outs on stage. One band I play with was open to using IEMs so I built an inexpensive stereo IEM mixer/splitter so we all get stereo IEM feeds for which we've been using stereo wired extensions to our IEMs but some of us want to try wireless.
  20. How do you find the XVive, is it their guitar or U4 IEM system? A sax-player mate of mine is starting to get cut-outs at some gigs and she's going to come round to compare, test and fix/ameliorate our wireless systems. Cheers. I really wanted the MiPro 58RT but (didn't have the money) and prepared to wait if/when I build rack, depending on gig requirements.
  21. Very tidy! Looks really well thought out with really neat cabling. How much would it cost you, ball park, to put that together again? I'm liking the aesthetics. Looks like the kind of board Batman would use if he was a bass player 🦇 Knowing how much time it took to make my first simple board, I'm wondering what kind of time folks have put into (dreaming/thinking/reading reviews/buying) planning, tinkering and (re)assembling their boards. Me it was about 6 hours.
  22. Go on then @BlueMoon 😉, I'll add the oldest musical thing I've got. That is in really good nick for 50 years old. Well looked after!
  23. Crikey, I'd forgotten some shops used to have metal shutters even then, hopefully deterring the thieves.
  24. Cool, that's what we do now on our analogue mixer+headphone amp and looking forward to the day we get an XR to do the same. Another band I play in has started to use an X32 (desktop, not rack, version) but the friend owning it has yet to figure out our individual mix control.
  25. Sounds a fantastic place, I never had the pleasure. Wanted to see what it had looked like from the outside, but found this cool image instead with a bit of story... (source)
