We had something like 8 guitars and an acoustic bass (I had my 6ers with me) nicked from our house. We bought them back from a drug dealer for £60. He said he just "put the word out" and found them. Hmmmmmm. Still, that was about £4k of guitars. My aria pro II is still missing though

If it only starts to feed back when you open the tone control, then I would guess it's high frequencies feeding back. What cab are you using? Do you have a graphic EQ on your amp? I have a noise gate because I can't avoid feedback with the amount of gain I use.

The effects loop on an amp is intended to work with line level (and impedence?) effects (or processors ) but it could sound great with your EQ pedal in there. you never know until you try. If you keep it at low volumes you can't break anything. If you were to max out the EQ pedal, it could overdrive the power amp, which could be good or bad.

I realised that I don't move about nearly as much as I feel like I am. I hated it but really tried hard to move about more. Now i'm on drums I don't have to do anything :-D

They can be useful after distortion too. I used EQ pedals in several different places. I don't think your amp's effects loop would be appropriate, as this is for effects which operate at line level.

Really? That's never happened to me and i've had 2 different Zoom multis now. Data doesn't fade away over time. It's not as though if you leave your phone for a year the numbers will disappear. That sounds like a proper dodgy fault!! Ray: I don't think vibrations will confuse the electronics.

You know how we perceive heavier strings to be "beefier", well is that a fact or is it just perception? I like heavy strings, but I wouldn't necessarily say I could tell the difference just by listening. My guitarist for example, really likes Nuno's tone, and can't believe he gets that sort of defined attacky tone with quite light/loose strings. I reckon it's not that big a factor. Does anyone actually know?

eugh, when I did my degree I took a module specifically to learn to read and I couldn't do it. Obviously if I put my mind to it.... but i'm way too negative. I'll take lessons for it when i'm old and/or afluent.

My teacher was Joe Dring, you may have heard of him? He's very well known (and paid) in the area. It would have been good to learn to read music properly, but I couldn't say a bad word about him. I tried to read in my teens and couldn't do it.

The units will have their size on the spec in Us so most compressors* and tuners will be 1U and you'll need a 2U case to put them in. The depth varies too though, and I don't think this is as simple. EDIT: *Cheap compressors!

I have a 105 (or 110 maybe) tuned to C# and it's fine. I'm pretty sure it's just your technique. If you have a graphic or parametric EQ you could probably EQ it out (if you don't want to change your technique). My advice would be to get some distortion on the go, and embrace your "click", turning it into hard attack.

Heh, it's nice and friendly in here!! IMO for a good slap tone you need a subtle overdrive with tone wide open, and a cab capable of producing the highs you need.
