1.
I'd suggest next thing you need to do is eliminate the string itself as the cause of the problem. Get a new set of strings on and see if that sorts it out
That's what I figured... new strings ordered...I'm just not to fond of the very bright new string sound...but hey ..needs must cheers
2. what can cause a drop in volume on one individual string, its happening on my A string,I have tried adjusting for saddle hight with pick up hight & even thought I would try the frequency range on my EQ channel,The strings are all from the same set although they are old..but why a loss of volume over one string...?
3.
the only major one I can think of is widening the nut grooves for the new strings.
yep thats what i figured..& the corvette has no changeable nut,its an integral part of the headstock (just one downside of this model)
4. ok it may have been done here i dont know but saw an interesting thread elsewhere about settings on Bass Big Muff & other Muff's so lets see your settings.. mine are is very minimal i just like a bit of colour; Bass Big Muff Pi (green) VOL=11;30 TONE=7;30 SUSTAIN=8;00 SWITCH=normal
5. i posted this a few months ago over on another forum but would like to hear more thoughts or ideas, i have a standard 4 string Corvette Rock bass & looking into the idea of using the 4 low strings of a 5 string set but only tuned to D,E,A.D, & as the 5 string gauge of string is usually to be tuned B,E,A,D.G would this require any neck adjustment
6. Here's the thing, i have a 34 scale length bass with through body design however measuring from the g string tuning post to the back of the bridge the length is 41 inch,so i need long strings to include a couple windings around the post & the extra at the other end to pass through the body, & without spending alot of cash trying to find the right strings to fit, i hope someone here has a similer set-up & may share some thoughts on this... pic below is European Music Express (EMEX) Romaxe,
7. i also am a Marshall fan ,i have the MB450 + 4x10 cab ,very loud & solid, previously owned solidstate Trace elliot, but now a complete Marshall convert,
8. hi, recently got the DHA VT1-purist but dont know what its amp rating is i know its 12v & it is working with only 300mA,but would like to know what it should be running at..? Question 2, (unrelated) i have a mixer amp but at the moment only the one speaker but it has two input jack sockets that can be used for either in or out (either one), can i connect left & right speaker out from mixer into the one speaker..?
