Have a listen to Mo Foster's solo albums, they are superb with some killer fretless work on them.
John changed the pickups in my first JD no questions asked too. Unfortunately I hadn't asked him to and I preferred the originals! I sold it soon after. So what was MK's action like then John? And how heavy was the bass (it was walnut instead of mahogany)?
I sat with it on my knee. I didn't wear it as such, I can't remember much about the action, the bass weighed about the same as mine from memory, and I have no idea about the woods. I think John only built Mark one Starchild, but I may be wrong. I also played one of Entwhistles Buzzards at the Status factory one time, That had an action so low it was mad. Rob Green told me John liked them low and clanky

I had a JD Mark King back in the day, it was great. I have a lot of time for Mr Diggins. I had an issue with one of the pups, I phoned John up and went to the factory. He put me 2 new pups in it, no questions asked. When I was there he had Mark Kings Starchild JD in the workshop and let me have a tinkle on it, pure magic. Tony Iommi's JD guitar was in as well at the same time, also had a tinkle on that. I've always had serious GAS for a 6 string Mark King Starchild, now that would be something
Looks just like my Spector NS-6 but with a funny bridge and angled tuners Although I am firmly on the Spector side of the "line", Stage 1's I have to admit are simply awesome and you can't go wrong buying off a Global Moderator. Nice bass!
Thanks

Up for sale is a near mint Warwick Streamer stage 1 , six string bass guitar . This bass was made in 2002 and looks brand new. The bass features Flamed Maple A body , Flamed Maple neck , natural oil finished body with Gold hardware. This bass has only seen light use and so the original flight case is also in imaculate condition. And comes with all the warwick tool kit as well as a tin of Warwick wax. I've not had this long, and may withdraw at any time. But at the moment, I'm that used to my Status basses this ain't getting a look in, which is a shame. The bass has also just been re strung with a set of Warwick ESP's.

I saw them back in the day, they supported Judas Priest at Derby Assembly Rooms. I went out and bought their self titled debut album. Good album it was too, still got it. Only irritating bit was the singer said Thang-you-ta! at the end of every song, hope he don't still do it. Good band though, well done. -

I'm selling my Yamaha TRB 1005 5 string in translucent black. Lovely bass, that I've only just bought, but the boilers gone west, so somethings got to go. 35in scale new d'addario prosteel strings 3 band active eq quilted maple top - translucent black finish It's in excellent condition, I can only see a very slight scuffing of the finish just below the bridge, which can only really be seen up close. Looking for £400, based in Alfreton, Derbyshire, but regularly in Leicester. Prefer pick up or meet up if possible. Strictly no trades. At least the wife is bugging you to get the bass and not a new sofa! -
One easy way to do it is just tell him you can't commit to it because of your other projects. If he bullies other musicians, they need to stand up for themselves really. Not your battle. You need to be carefull that it's not you that ends up being seen as the bad guy. If it was me, I just wouldn't get involved with him or his projects.
