1. Any interest in a Warwick Corvette $$ 5 string? Two band EQ, volume, pan and two three-way coil-split switches for running each pick-up as a single coil/humbucker in series/humbucker in parallel!
 2. Familiar sounds, feel and aesthetics. A secure option you can rely on to deliver. Can't really go wrong.
 3.
Nice track! Using an earlier "Toaster". I am still breaking down my collection of Forty's but will still end up with maybe five or 6 of them, as keepers. You may be interested in one of them. So, I'll be in touch, via PM. Cheers.
Thanks! PM'd back! Yeah he's been using that T-40 for at least a year now alongside his two Precisions - I've noticed a couple of different artists using them recently too. Definite gas!
 4. Just spotted Mutemath using a T-40 live, and in a music video (Odd Soul) too. Great band too, some great bass tunes like Obsolete and Armistice I've been after one of these T-40s for ages! If anyone has a spare they'd be willing to let go of let me know! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DC5Lv7e4j_Y
 5. Nice one! Those Sandbergs are lovely! The perfect Jazz (albeit the wrong way 'round)
 6. Len's a great guy to deal with, bought an MXR Dyna Comp from me/my brother. Nice and easy transaction. Cheers!
 7.
We have the same rig Seeing as it's an absolute beast with just the one Barefaced Cab, I'm looking forward to adding a midget to it and really letting the PF-500 loose!
Nice! It's a great rig - and it would definitely shift some air with a Midget on top! I was thinking of saving up for one but for me the Compact is plenty darn loud enough as it is - had a gig on Sunday with acoustic drums to my left and a massive cranked valve guitar amp facing my way to my right. Bass in my monitor? Nope
 8. Just tried out a Bad Monkey - it does indeed sound sweet - just turned up the low control and boosted the bass on my Warwick a bit and there it is!
 9. Ampeg PF500 and Barefaced Compact
 10. I remember playing a '72 all original Telecaster bass in Wunjo Guitars last year... he offered it to me for £1k if I part exchanged my Warwick - not bad! Either way I couldn't afford it, but they let me carry on playing it anyway, good service
 11.
The Juggernaut has been discontinued for ages, searched the net to get one a while ago and when it finally came I was pretty disappointed, sounded nothing like the guitar ones! Lots of people on here use Jackhammers now, they're nice and cheap (about 20 to 30 quid used), and the EQ is pretty versatile and can compensate for any low end loss you might encounter
Jackhammers look really good! I found a thread where a bloke runs some pink noise through different pedals into a frequency analyser to get an idea of their EQ response with them set flat. Here's a Tech 21 BDDI: And here's a Jackhammer: Not half bad!
 12.
The bass player from The Haunted uses Rat pedals and I actually love his tone so much! Didn't get on with the Juggernaut (bass specific rat) though! Marshall Jackhammers are good too
Cool, I'll have to check them out! I'd heard the Juggernaut wasn't so great but I haven't tried one - I think I'll just see how long I can, erm, 'borrow' my brothers Rat before he needs it back Marshall Jackhammer? If I'm not careful I'm going to get guitar pedal GAS on top of bass pedal GAS
 13.
Looks like an old one, any idea what year it is? The quality has been slowly declining over the years but I love the old ones, possibly my favourite dirt pedal ever for guitar along with the Harmonic Percolator. Very different beasts though. I got a cheap one off E-bay and swapped out the chip for the classic one. And put in a superbright green LED but I don't think that effects the sound I lent mine to Finbar to try out on bass but he never ended up with one so I'm not sure he got on with it. I believe it's what the guy from Glassjaw used on the 1st album which is why he wanted to try it.
I don't know exactly what year it is, I just know that my brother bought it second-hand and well used about 17 years ago, so it's quite old! Going to have to check this Harmonic Percolator, it sounds very fun Super-bright? So now it's not only deafening but blinding? You live a dangerous life!
 14.
glad you like the rat II on bass, to me there was far too much bottom end loss. the rat II was better imho
This Rat's one of the original Rat IIs - I think the current one has a slightly different circuit. Yeah there was a bit of a low-end loss but nothing a bit of EQ can't solve. If you shove a load of bass into it sounds ace imo
 15. I borrowed my brother's ancient and battered RAT II to play Song 2 by Blur as requested at a wedding gig. I was told it should do the job. Oh my life. This pedal's so crazy it actually scares me a little. The distortion is ridiculously thick and nasty. So much fun. Try one out if you can That's all really, I was just compelled to post about it after experiencing it! Okay, I suppose a good topic would be: does anyone else own any guitar pedals then coincidentally sound awesome with bass?
 16.
Rosanna, by Toto
+1! It was REQUESTED for a wedding party gig I'm doing this Sunday - yes!
 17. Whammy sold pending the usual! That was quick...
 18. Hello chaps On behalf of my brother I am delighted to offer you one XXL Spider pedalboard/flightcase. Sold at flightcase Warehouse HERE. It packs enough pedals to satisfy the even the most pedal-hungry guitarist/bassist (aka my brother). It has been used for many years without incident and is in great condition (but of course there are inevitably a few small marks to prove it - however nothing that detracts from the function/looks particularly bad/is really that noticeable at all). Can fit a lot more pedals than shown in my pictures below, he's downsized a fair bit already! More photos can of course be taken if you want to get up close! He's after either a smaller pedalboard and/or a tuner pedal with cash adjustment depending on the item, or £70 Cheers for looking! Ben Little Pro Co Rat for scale there [s]Also, a Digitech Whammy (the version previous to the new current one). This one comes with the original box and instructions! Has a few marks from general rocking and functions perfectly. £85 including postage?[/s] SOLD [s]Finally, an MXR Dyna Comp. One of those simple but effective types. £40 posted?[/s] SOLD
 19.
Yes, check early Talkbass threads on these amps. Some have had similar problems - though must admit, I never had any with mine, and used it a fair bit, though always with the full load of 4ohms.
Will do, thanks I'd never had any problems with mine either until it decided to be lazy this evening!
 20.
When they first came out these amps suffered a lot of problems, according to Talkbass posts. Is this an older amp?
Not unless it had been in stock for a while - I only bought it new from GAK a couple of months ago... and then of course a couple turned up on here pretty much new for £100 less
 21.
Some SMPS can be sort of sensitive to power fluctuations I think. And one of the mini Ampeg heads was sensitive to impedance (which caused issues with the mini 2x10 cabs they came with, so might not be that head). Were you using all speakon? A part pulled out jack could have shorted and make trouble.
Ahh the elecricity in the venue can be a little bit iffy every now and then so that might be it! I've used those cabs with the head quite a few times with no issues and I was using speak-on only Thanks!
