make yourself a xmas present.......
ras52 replied to fiatcoupe432's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
Yes, - for £24.99. Which is still too expensive if you ask me.
I think this is a "thing" on eBay now: put up a silly buy-it-now price in the hope that the bidder will think they're getting a good deal with an offer that's still over the going rate. E.g. Item X can be bought for £50; I put it up at £100, and when a naive buyer has a bid of £75 accepted they think they've saved £25! -

There used to be a point on Van der Graaf Generator's album Pawn Hearts that sounded like someone saying, er, "Pawn Hearts", although it's not part of the lyrics to any of the songs. I swear I had a friend who heard the same thing. However, now I can't find it! So perhaps someone crept into my house and replaced my copy, or maybe it's only audible to young people.

There's a lick in Dave Gilmour's solo on Money that sounds like Terry Jones saying "Morning!" while dressed as a woman in a Monty Python sketch.

A word about Waves plugins: don't pay the list price! Like DFS, there's a permanent sale on and products rotate on a regular basis. So unless there's something you MUST have RIGHT NOW, wait a while and get it for up to 80% off.

In the Stranglers' London Lady, the backing vocals sing my name in the "Plastic's real when you're real sick" section.
Paradoxically, "Bat Out of Hell Singer and Actor" Meatloaf regards himself as a bit of a gourmet.
Mr Loaf drew inspiration for his magnum opus from footballer Demba Ba, who, in the days before he earned Premier-League wages, used to sell tickets at inflated prices at venues around the Humber estuary. These activities earned him the nickname of Ba, tout of Hull.
As private tenants are starting to move into London's highest building, The Shard, news is emerging of a strange phenomenon. Clarissa Belgravia-Knightsbridge who lives in Penthouse 41 on level 42 explains, " Yah, the guy next door, in No 42 makes yah, very odd noises. There's this droning noise followed by, well, yah, it sounds like one of those deep guitar things having it's strings being pulled off it, yah, makes frightful din, yah. Otherwise he's a nice chap, think he's the King of the Isle of Wight, wherever that is, yah?" A spokeswoman for ISIS Lettings said, "We have been made aware of strange noises in one of our tenants penthouses and we are not ruling out pipework "hammering". All tenants have been issued with noise-cancelling earphones as a precaution."
However not everyone minds... another Shard occupant who wished to be remain anonymous - so we'll refer to them as "Shard A" - was insisting that her love was King.

He moves his mouth away from the microphone and the volume doesnt change. Also his lips arent even in sync with the lyrics in some places."

Funkster Jake Hay and his as-yet unnamed band were staying at a Premier Inn when Jake was paralysed by choice at the breakfast bar: strawberry conserve, or an exotic fruit from New Zealand? Eventually one of the other diners grew impatient and called the manager, who duly demand of Mr Hay, what's it going to be? Jam, or Kiwi?
Early 70's hippy songstress Melanie was so enthusiastic on her diet of takeaways that when she heard Mick and Keef's "Ruby Tuesday", she just had to record it. She followed this smash hit with "Chinese Wednesday", "Kebab Thursday", "Pizza Friday" and "Brand New Key" when her voice dropped and she was unable to hit the high notes any more.
The moguls of the music industry, impressed with the original Melanie's success, used special cloning and genetic modification techniques when assembling The Spice Girls, which featured the 'B' and 'C' models.
