  1. Excellent to see... I have exactly the same SWR and brought it out for a session recently. Sounded epic and got me thinking that lighter isn’t necessarily always better. Ideal one stop solution for any studio in my opinion.
  2. Have a Bump on me - Great Amps and will make someone very happy!
  3. Bump for a great person to deal with... buy with confidence people!
  4. Thanks for all your comments! Amp Sold now pending the usual.
  5. Looking at reviews upon its release output looks to be 500w at 8ohm
  6. All... happy to get insured courier to deliver at cost. Thanks
  7. Big fan of the Epifani amps. Recently got hold of the piccolo, but they do a 1000w power amp mod in the same chassis as this! Never ran out of grunt running 2 series 1 epifani 4x10’s! Immensely good fun! Preamp gain wise, you can’t really push it to get any fuzz... if you wanted that sort of thing you’d have to put a pedal in line, or use the effects loop
  8. For Sale - Epifani UL501 complete with Rack Ears. After some consideration and continuing a gear thin down, I've decided to part with my UL501. I've owned this from new and comes in excellent condition having spent its life racked up. Comes with the rack ears. Would prefer pickup, or local meetup to exchange. UL 501 Power: 850W Min Impedance: 4 Ohms Preamp: Solid State Power amp: Class A-B, switching power supply EQ: 3 Band with choice of 2 Treble frequencies Other controls: Mid cut: switchable and variable DI: Yes, Balanced, Pre-Post EQ Voltage: 110-240 Volts Weight: 3,3kg, 8 lbs 3.5" H (2u) x 12.5" W x 10" D The UL501 is a remarkably small yet powerful amplifier designed for the player who demands quality, power, and portability. The UL501 features the same studio quality clarity of the UL series preamps and the power and precision necessary to drive multiple stacks of speakers with authority. The UL501 is a hybrid amp with a Class-AB power amp and a Switch-Mode Power Supply generating a clean 850W RMS that makes it one of the most powerful and full-sounding, yet lightest and portable amps on the market today. For people who travel, they’ve added a PFC “Power factor control” a self-adjusting input voltage for a worldwide operation.
  9. For Sale - Epifani UL502 complete with Rack Ears, Footswitch and Carry bag. I've owned this from new and comes in excellent condition. Has spent it's working life racked up (please note marks in paintwork on top of amp from living below a rack-mounted tuner - these are purely cosmetic). Comes with the footswitch which is super convenient for channel switching/muting. Wanting to sell this as a bundle if possible and would prefer pickup, or local meetup to exchange. Looking for a good home and to continue its musical journey! UL 502 Power Rating: 600w @ 4 ohms Weight: 16 lbs. Dimensions: 13” W x 11” D x 3” H (2 RU) Inputs: 1 Active, 1 Passive Signal to Noise Ratio: 90 dB Output Impedance: 4 ohms Input Impedance: Passive 470 Kohms, Active 200 Kohms
  10. Had the pleasure in having a play on this exact bass a while back. It’s exactly as Jack describes and whoever ends up with this instrument will not be disappointed. Buy with absolute confidence people!
  11. Hi, I've been working on a series of online lessons for my students at a local college and have recently uploaded them to YouTube. Feel free to gain access to them and use them as a resource for teaching or helping out clear up any grey areas in your theory. Please have a look at www.musiccollege.tv There's also some guitar, drum and other music related tutorials that we've been streaming to local schools. Enjoy
  12. Purchased some cabs from Andy... A pleasure to deal with and a great communicator! Anyone dealing with this guy can purchase with total confidence! Next time I'm in Sheffield I shall have to pop in and say hello!
  13. Just picked up some cabs that Frank was kind enough to collect for me! Lovely bloke and very trustworthy! Can highly recommend anybody to deal with him with total confidence.
  14. They don't make them like this anymore that's for sure! Have a bump on me for a lovely looking piece of bass nostalgia
  15. To be honest I wouldn't know for sure, but I doubt this mod would be possible as the blend (pan) pot sits on a small pcb that the pickups are wired into... However, I suppose with the correct stacked pot and some nifty solder work there is bound to be a workaround as its just routing the pickup signal in and out. My reservation would be how the active mid bass treble circuit integrates with the other electronics. If you fancy some reading, then I suggest looking at the wiring schematics on emg website and see if there's a way of getting it to work in the way you had hoped. Failing that, I know emg sell other stacked pots for use in these systems and one of these might be easily added/modded into this system. Hope this is of some use.
  16. It is indeed the system, but thanks for your added info... I'm sure it will help
  17. I'm selling my old EMG-BQS System... I purchased it for use in a bass of mine a while back, installed it, used it briefly for some recording, removed it and then sold the bass it was installed in!!! Needless to say it's now surplus to my requirements and is up for sale. Please note that there is NO JACK SOCKET included as I left it installed in the old bass, but apart from that the system is in perfect working order. This is the most flexible of the onboard solutions EMG manufacture with separate Volume & Pan Pots. On this particular model there is individual Bass & Treble Pots with a stacked Mid/Mid Frequency pot. For more info please check out the links... Perfect if you want to add some extra tone shaping abilities to your bass... [attachment=114942:photo.JPG]
  18. This bass is a beauty... Somebody buy it! I've known John for many years! Great player and all round good guy to deal with! Whoever buys this will be one happy individual!
  19. Somebody should snap this up at this price... Seriously these heads in my mind are hard to beat! I've already got 2... Where could I find space for a third!
