1. Hi there! Ive been using shure e5 in ears for years. Really love them! Will be continuing to use them until I can afford a pair of moulds! The shures are dual drivers and handle the lows really well! Isolation is really good and because of this you don't really have to drive them all that hard! Hope this helps...
2. Jon Shuker is the man! But I usually take him some cider...
3.
These are the same cabs as I use, and I can vouch for the excellent all round tone and volume these things put out. Oh and the silver chrome grills look great under stage lights!
Thank you for your comment. It's nice to see that some people still like their meat and veg when it comes to bass cabs... Wait until you put one of those Beyma drivers in your 15"... The difference in performance was unbelievable!
4.
Man, those metal grills look so much better than the powder coated ones.
Thanks... You can't beat a bit of bling!!!
5. Thanks chaps... As soon as I get chance, I'll upload some pics of the Shukers for you all to have a look at!
6. Taken me a while, but I've finally got round to adding myself to bass chat! My name is Richie and Ive been playing bass for 11 years after being inspired by my late Grandfather. I'm happy to say that the bass is my life now and I've been extremely lucky in being able to give up the day job... Involved with many local projects and really enjoying anything original. Please check out the myspace links to the Cliff Moore Band and a little sideline Fusion project called Saffron Monkey. http://www.myspace.com/cliffmooreuk http://www.myspace.com/saffronmonkey I'm a devotee to the Work of Jon Shuker... (anyone yet to try out his basses should!) and own a number of his instruments aswell as some other basses... Collecting instruments is such a disease!!! Anyway, pleasure to meet you all and look forward to chatting soon Richie
7. Still continuing with my clearout of surplus gear... For sale are SWR Goliath III 4x10 and SWR Son of Bertha 1x15 Cabs. These are both pre fender takeover models and I've owned them both from new. Both come with SWR cordura covers. Both cabs are 8ohm versions. The 1x15 Cab is loaded with a Beyma 15LX60 8ohm driver and is now rated at 600W... you certainly know it's there and in my opinion far out performs the original SWR Driver. Better still it is now a perfect compliment when paired with the power and output of the 4x10. The new cone has only had 6months of use. Check out the Beyma website link for the spec of the cone. http://profesional.beyma.com/ENGLISH/producto.php I can personally vouch for the condition of both cabs and I'm sure someone out there would be willing to give them a good home. I'd be willing to deliver or meet part way with whoever gets them. Price £700 for the pair. Please Message me with any questions... hope you like them! 8. I'm selling up my Jap reissue Fender Jazz Bass to fund my newly aquired Shuker Artist. I have owned this bass from new and during that time I have added a few 'parts' to improve the tone and response of the instrument. The bass plays and sounds great with plenty of fretless growl, but having since got my new shuker it's in need of a new home and someone to enjoy it as much as I have. The instrument is in great condition. There are typical wear marks arund the body and a couple of dings, but all in all its a very good looking bass and perfect for anyone searching for a reliable fretless. The date stamp dates it between 1990-91. Here is the spec of the bass for sale listing what I have changed... Pickups - Dimarzio Ultra Jazz Bass Pickups Badass Bass II Bridge fitted Shaller BMFL Reissue tuners John East J-Retro Preamp Rear access battery cover The bass was originally fretted but was defretted by Jon Shuker around 4 years ago. The frets were replaced with offwhite lines and the finger board was coated in polyester resin to allow the use of roundwounds if desired. I have fitted the preamp myself and the electronics are fully sheilded including a ground through to the bridge. I'm looking for £600. Please feel free to email or post me with any questions. In the meantime here are some pictures of the bass for sale.
