  1. Seem to remember Ronnie Wood ( then Ron Wood and playing bass) got fired from the Jeff Beck Group and soon after reinstated, when a replacement couldn’t be found for a US tour.
  2. I’d have to agree with you - still got mine and it’s only been beaten by my SVT rig in ‘the best amp I’ve ever owned’ stakes.
  3. John Bentley of Squeeze
  4. Oh Atlanta -Little Feat
  5. Galaxy paradise - Stevie Wonder
  6. Satin doll - Duke Ellington
  7. Strangered in the night - Tom Petty
  8. Let's go round again - Average White Band
  9. Having a clear out and found this - it's apparently a 'standard' for DB. F.Simandl - 'New method for the double bass' Book 1. Looks quite an old edition ('4th enlarged and improved German' and English! ). Missing front cover but all 136 pages intact and in quite usable condition. Yours for the postage, couple of quid should cover it? Or collect from East Yorkshire. Cheers
  10. These arms of mine - Otis R.
  11. Proud Mary - Creedence Clearwater Revival
  12. Night Boat to Cairo - Madness
  13. Softly as I leave you - Matt Monro.
  14. I’m in chains - Tina Arena
  15. Cream - Wheels of fire * As a Clapton fan don’t know how I overlooked this. According to Wiki, it was also the world’s first platinum selling double album. For me it works, but only sometimes. I love White Room, Politician, Born under a bad sign and Crossroads, but avoid Spoonful and especially Toad (lengthy instrumental with drum solo!) * Full disclosure - one studio album and one live, tin hat at the ready....
  16. Act naturally - Buck Owens / Beatles
  17. Only women bleed - Alice Cooper / Julie Covington
  18. We do Hey Jude in my acoustic duo. The perfect song to finish off for us - get them all singing the ‘Na na.....’ section, firstly with us , then on their own (usual thing) and finish off together. Rousing but slow enough for people not to get too excited and ideal for those who are a bit tired and emotional. Never thought I’d miss playing it like I am right now either. 😷
  19. Do - Stones ‘Exile on Main St’ - one of my favourite albums Bruce Springsteen - ‘The River’ - ditto. Many seemed to think it would have made a better single album but I like it all. Derek & the Dominos - ‘Layla and other assorted love songs’ - not loved much on here I believe, but a great piece of work IMHO. Don’t - Lou Reed ‘Metal machine music’. Dreadful album following some other great ones, I believe it was to fulfill a contractual obligation.
  20. Walk this way - Aerosmith / Run DMC ( 2 for the price of one..😆)
  21. Tokyo Joe - Bryan Ferry
  22. Behind closed doors - Charlie Rich
  23. Tracks of my tears - Smokey and the Miracles
  24. All down the line - Rolling Stones
  25. Raspberry beret - Prince
