  13. Sounds heartening, thanks! Will have to get some pics taken and get it advertised on here.
  14. Shift by many to lightweight stuff + Covid effect on gigging = bargain prices for some I guess.
  15. My problem is the money is needed! Current situation means trimming down my amount of gear is inevitable really, just a bu*ger that it also means probably having to take a hit on the prices too.
  16. Me too, heard a couple of songs already and sound great. Apparently there’s a documentary just out about the recording of it, but only available on Apple something or other. ☹️
  17. That Marshall 1974 2x10 combo should fetch more than the estimate, rare configuration / cabinet etc. Not sure about the sports bags full of sh*te though...😆
  18. Interesting thread, some great points. I’m in the process of starting to trim down my stuff and have the dilemma of whether to try and sell at the moment, when there are few gigs around to use any amps let alone larger stuff! I’ve got a Fender TB1200 amp head and Fender 610 Pro cab to move on, both in mint condition too. Serious kit but reckon they won’t fetch anything like what they should be worth, but I guess that’s just the state of play at the moment. ☹️
  19. It's the end of the world as we know it - REM
  20. I love a 'quality' bass too, but I sometimes wonder with all the great stuff there is available now for reasonable prices how many of us actually notice / need that bit extra for most of our playing? I always used to use USA basses - Precisions and Stingrays for decades, but when I had to go for something lightweight I realised that other stuff was virtually as good in quality for significantly less money - MIJ / MIK etc. Country of manufacture mattered very little as the standard of instruments was improving constantly. Now older and (maybe wiser?!!) I have reached the 'age of enlightenmen't where I judge stuff by what it is above anything else, and don't bother if it's not the 'right' brand / model or even colour!
  21. It takes two - Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston
  22. Evening in June - Van Morrison
  23. March of the Mods - Joe Loss Orchestra
  24. Winter melody - Donna Summer
  25. I like them when they’re great basses that happen to be cheap! Of course, cheap is also a relative term though, so opinions will vary a lot depending on people’s wallets.
