Hi Ash, The eden recommended repair company is Surrey amps, also called the amp hospital, he did my metro when I blew both cones, he is good but it is a little expensive I would guess its going to cost you £125 plus vat per speaker plus postage. You just pull out the speakers and mail them to him, speak to stan he is a good man. Or if you go on e bay and look up mikes chop shop he will post you new replacement speakers at probably less than the re cones, I also blew my 210xlt and with vat and post it was going to be £300 ie $500 I got 2 new speakers including postage from the states for $290, mike is a good man as well and does cheap strings. If you go on the eden web and go to the chat section, ask about the speaker and you will have a model etc within 24 hours, they are good guys on there. I am self taught and have played in loads of bands for 25 years, i play well by ear and could go to a pub jam and play any style with anyone off the cuff, however, I dont think I have improved much over the years I stick to my safe runs and licks and get by. I would look at "good" bass players though and always knew I was not at the same level. So I went to lessons 6 months ago. Its been hard as I have had to unpick my bad playing methods, and the theory side did me in at first but now I have improved my playing 100% I am playing with knowledge and out of my old comfort zones, I am learning different styles and methods and its amazing I should have done it years ago. I now play with musicians that I have played with for donkeys years and they can see a massive difference in my playing ability. Just make sure that you get a good teacher and go for it It has revitalised my love for bass and I will carry on with the lessons till I pack in or get fed up with them Rob

Hi, I am considering changing to Ampeg SVT and 6 or 8x10 SVT cab. I currently run all eden gear and wonder if some kind fellow bass chatter would like to put the 2 rigs together so we can ab them to see whast sort of differences it can make. I have a load of eden gear and a big room to try it all out in as I dont want to buy and then find out I have it all wrong (again) The eden stuff is great dont get me wrong but its missing something for me personally a bit of nastiness?? or I would gladly stick some stuff in the car and travel. Got a few cabs I am going to list and have a clear out but whats the best way of refurbishing the carpet/flock cover? dust stains, a couple od small mould spots etc, can you spray it or dye it back to black after a good clean
