    Thats not correct mate the cabs are either 4 or 8 ohm, it will say on the back of them

    I got them from the states August 2007, I sent the amp to surrey amps to have the conversion done

    As I am not using it any more I am considering moving on my beloved Eden Rig and have the following. WT550 amp with gigskinz travel bag, condition is perfect. Amp will run 725w at 2ohms no problem and I always ran it at 2 ohms or it will put out 550w at 4 ohms. Great Amp 210xlt 350w 2 by 10 speakers, 4 ohm cab, bright, gritty and loud. 210xst 500w 2 x 10 speakers, 4 ohm cab, deep and very hifi sounding. Running the above 2 cabs together with the WT550 is a great sounding killer rig and I have owned the lot from brand new. Just in case you get a big venue I also have the 1000w 410xlt that I picked up second hand, I find that putting the 210xst with it was the best and it gives you a very flexible and insane loud 6x10 rig that looks the biz. I paid over 2300.00 for the rig but to be fair I have used it for a lot of gigs and it has never let me down. I will split it up or would sell it as a whole rig if there is some interest.     Its not a tribute it is an original band and its doing my head in as I have been waiting for a call all bloody day and not had it !!!! Grrr I am quietly confident though and picked up a Bergantino 610 from a fellow basschatter and recken an Orange AD200 Mkiii should compliment it well. see what tomorrow brings

    I cant actually as I have not had the official nod, I was introduced to some people as the new bass player for ??????? on Friday night but as it has not been officially sanctioned I cant say anything sorry, hopefully Monday will bring this to an end. Please do not be too excited it is not The Who or anything but one person has been very near in this thread, near not accurate just very very near

    When the auditions whittled down to just me I purchased a Thunderbird for the audition, thats how much I wanted the gig, they wanted cometent playing and a look. The rig will be backlie moniter to me and the rest will be up to sound guys to do there worst to so I dont have a lot of controll there. I need a rig that looks the part so it will have to be a big heavy numb thing, and my preference to hear onstage would be bright and clean so that I can pick myself up in the mix, after that front of house is out of my control. I can see I am going to have to get a SVT valve head and a coffin

    I have Just been offered a gig with a band (cant say yet until it is official) and have to play a Gibson Thunderbird, Its a must with no other option. What Amp and speakers sit best with them? I have some nice Eden gear but it's not good together. I have an Orange terror 500 and barefaced 2x12 that rips with an active bass but is a bit mushy with the T bird played fingerstyle I do like a bright crunchy sound, has anyone got any experience with this IE SVT or the likes, I think 1x115 and 4x10 or maybe a 6x10 is the way to go as the 8x10s are monsters. Any serious advice gratefully recieved, budget within reason is not an issue
