1. Trust me you would not want to turn this gig down, I would play it with a broom handle and some string if thats what they wanted
2. No it,s a reforming band that has a look with a flying V lead, explorer & Thunderbird, it's just the way it is
3. I have Just been offered a gig with a band (cant say yet until it is official) and have to play a Gibson Thunderbird, Its a must with no other option. What Amp and speakers sit best with them? I have some nice Eden gear but it's not good together. I have an Orange terror 500 and barefaced 2x12 that rips with an active bass but is a bit mushy with the T bird played fingerstyle I do like a bright crunchy sound, has anyone got any experience with this IE SVT or the likes, I think 1x115 and 4x10 or maybe a 6x10 is the way to go as the 8x10s are monsters. Any serious advice gratefully recieved, budget within reason is not an issue

10. I have never got on with Fender for some reason, but to be fair I have never got further than having a go on one, I like the P sound but like the playability of the Jazz, I think the Geddy Lee one would beckon me most
11. Just looking at a project that is an 80s British New wave metal band IE Def Lepoard, Whitesnake etc you get my drift. I have a wonderful Overwater that I love to bits but it looks "too modern" for this. What would be a typical glam metal rock bass, flying V? T,bird? White fender P? any ideas?
12. have you sold this? I will have it if not
13. done deal then, e mail me at "][email protected] with your details and I will post you a cheque off on Monday
14. hmmm guess I need them both then, lol, pity your dourn sourrfff or I would have been badgering you to come round and have a rip on them
15. hmmmm GK looks nice Orange looks minging, not that looks are my main concern
16. hmmmm GK or Orange, I have GAS so bad I will get one of them, dont want Ampeg s they are big heavy lumps, GK or Orange hmmmmm. I like the simplicity of the Orange but it looks 1 dimensional and if you dont like it's tone you are fooked, the GK looks far more flexible but I suspect it is going to be similar to the Eden I already have. hmmmmmm GK or Orange
17. never tried one tbh I was always under the impression GK was more in the smooth clear and crisp tone bracket
18. oh and another thing I have a sansamp bddi and I love some of the sounds I get from it but it picks up way too much string clack for me and amplifies it to unacceptable levels
