1. Heading down to Birmingham tomorrow if any body is interested down that way.
2. Thanks for the comments guys.- It plays great, I have got 40 - 125 strings on which some people find light but it just makes it so easy to play. It cuts through with our 6pc band no problem . It has tons of bottom end and mid I would say the top is more subtle not a scratchy hi fi sound. It retains the jazz sound very well without being taken over by the preamp. It can hold its own with a lot more expensive bass's and I have had great comments from other bass players on its sound. I would keep it but I have a couple of other guitars which reside in the bedroom and the good lady is starting to want the room back after decades of putting up with me using it as a place to admire my collection. Thanks again
3. Due to a recent Warwick purchase, I now reluctantly have for sale my 5 string squire mod jazz. This is my tribute to Marcus . It has an artec 3 band active preamp, frets have been leveled and a genuine Marcus pickup cover added along with a custom extended scratch plate. All work carried out by Doug Wilkes Guitars with the exception of the pick up cover which I put on. This is a little gem in excellent condition sounds great ,very low action no dings or scratches. I am looking for £300 (strap locks not inc replaced with originals) Your welcome try her out. Thanks for looking Pics http://www.flickr.com/photos/fatwire/

10. Cheers Spacecowboy I am not sure if I'm doing the right thing selling . I just sold a cirrus of which I was thinking of adding an east preamp . I have had one of those before and they are outstanding. I think this little cracker is crying out for on. so if it does not sell over the next few days I may withdraw it and upgrade the preamp to a u-retro flat response version as this bass plays better than a lot of much more expensive basses Ive had in the past. Thanks for your comments

I am looking for £325 or £350 Trade (strap locks not inc replaced with originals). I could be interested in putting some money into a trade for another 5 string Lakland / Warwick . 12. Hi Chrismuzz Did consider putting an East preamp in with passive option. If it does not sell still may do it. Just need to hide it from the Mrs
13. Hi Banditsid I had the early 18volt version too which had the same problem, this one has had the battery changed once since Ive had it ,and that was because I wanted to make sure it had a good battery in from new which is about 18months ago. I would keep it but she who is to be obeyed is getting sick of guitars taking up space in the bedroom !!
14. Thanks alyctes its a BXP . I had a problem with a previous cirrus and Peavey uk chose this from there stocks saying it was the best one they had finish wise for a while. strangely now supplied with single 9volt rather than previous 18volt. Owning several of these over a number of years this is the quietest bass I have ever had electrics wise. It still carries the remainder of its 5 yrs warranty which is just over 3ys I think, but I don't know if this is transferable. Cheers for the interest

21. I am going to advertise this in local shop at he weekend if no interest or maybee she will just have to be put back under the bed again as she didn't sell a couple of weeks ago despite a couple interested parties. I would prefer not to put her in the shop as lots of people will want to handle her and possibly make inproper advances . Any one want to help and save her virtue
