1. Here I have my White Horse BP150 Bass Amp. Its a great 150 watt bass for someone on a tight budget, pretty versatile and bone shatteringly loud. 7 Band EQ will let you control your sound to no end with bright and boost buttons to give it an extra kick if needed. More info here: http://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and-Bass/...r-Amplifier/8J5 Its in perfect condition not a scratch on it only been used for home use and one or two practice sessions. Brand new they are £179.99 so im looking to sell for £100 or any near offers. I will consider trades as I am looking for a practice amp (something worth around the 25 - 35 watt mark.) I live in the Cardiff area if anyone would like to try it out feel free. I will also post it at buyers expense. So yea make me some offers! 2.
You can have my Marshal stack for £200 if you want to come and pick it up MB4210 with MBC 1 x 15 extention cab. 450 watts of pure loudness!
Sounds like a bargin! But sadly i am lacking transport so i will not be able to pick it up
 3. Wow thats alot better than I thought im gona have to check out ebay and the market! Thanks for the tip.
 4. Im on a strict budget of £250 for a decent amp but not sure where to start or what to look for. Im looking for something that will stand up against the drums/guitars ect in a practice room but also be able to be used in small gigs (pubs/clubs the usual venues). Any suggestions? Thanks.
 5. Right iv narrowed down my choice to either some Helicore Hybrids or a set of Innovation. I mainly play piz but I also want a string that can be bowed when needed. Anyone had any experiences with either of these sets of strings?
 6.
Although not exactly the shape you are looking for, the Yamaha BB414 (or 415) would meet all your other criterea. G.
+1 Covers a broad range looks great and is built like a tank.
 7. Im really very jealous of anyone who owns on of these basses! I love Yamaha basses and I am a big fan of Billy Sheehan too. Let us know what its like when you have had a chance to give it some nuts! I better start saving up if i want one of these one day
 8. Bought some MIJ pups Thursday evening, they come as promised first class post today. Great guy to deal with quick to respond very friendly and deal was swift without any problems. I would happily buy from this guy again!
 9. Iv been thinking about selling one of my cases how much could you get for a hard case and soft case?

 11.
Really? I'd say the 'problem' (if you can call it that) I have with my BB414 is that the pickups are very hot and quite barky. I have to tame it down tone-wise a little to control it In general I'd say the BB414 is probably one of the better made, cheaper basses. Squiers are okay if you get a good one but the fit and finish of the BB414 is waaaaay ahead of them IMHO.
+1 BB414 pickups are very hot, I have flats on mine and i get a lovely warm (but precise) punch with tone rolled off and a real hot crisp stab with tones all the way on. Its my go to bass for most things I need to play. I got to be honest once (a long time ago in a galaxy far far away ) I was drawn away from my BB414 to the VM and CV Squires but after trying one they were great basses.... but imo they still couldn't compete with my Yammies.

 13. Great choice! and also they come in some great colours too Here is a link to pictures of my TRB 5II I hope you like it http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=140726
 14.
+1 on the TRB.
+1 for the +1 on the TRB
 15.
What's the difference of Yamaha TRB1005 or TRB 5II? Well, another thing: I use 4 strings, and I dont need 5 strings for now, but in the future, who knows... When I tryed the Yamaha TRB1005, the 5 string was perfect, but I don't use it very much, but it doesn't bother me very much... Maybe it would be better the 5 string version?
Basically the TRB 5II was the model made before the TRB1005, the TRB 5II are considered slightly better due to their pickups having a slight more depth to them. Also the TRB 5II (along with the 4II and 6II) were made in Japan where the TRB1005 (and 1004, 1006) are made in China I believe. To be honestly apart from a slight cosmetic change they are both excellent basses, both active both build like tanks and you should be able to get them both second hand for around the same price. A TRB 5II in very good condition should cost around 400 to 450 Euros where a TRB1005 might cost you up to around 500 Euros. I would go for the 5 string versions because they are much easier to find than the 4 string versions and plus you will get used to having that B string there and you will start to use it, didnt take me long to get used to it anyway lol EDIT: My bad the TRB1004/5/6 are made in China not Korea
 16. I would go for the Yamaha either a TRB1005 or a TRB 5II (the older models) all Yamaha basses are built like tanks and the TRB series are some of the best basses made. If i had to choose it would be the Yamaha every time.
 17. They also do them in Black, Red and i think also Sunburst.

 19. Here is a link for one of the guys selling a BB414 http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...=BB414&st=0 Possibly one of the best colours ever
 20.
It's between this and the Sq VM Jag so far... I wonder if there's any difference in build quality
All Yamaha instruments are built like tanks there is no compromise in any of their build quality, Squire's are also very well made but on balance I would say Yamaha are the better made.
 21.
I'd go for a Yamaha BB414, tonally versatile (as it has P and J pickups) and very good quality - new price around £270. 2nd hand £200 no trouble (have seen them go for £150). EDIT: One on the forum right now for £190: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=124074
+1 The BB414 is my go to bass for most things, great build quality and you can play anything on it. Second hand anywhere between £150 to £190 is about normal which is a steal coz these basses really are a kepper.
 22. Delt with John about a P Bass wiring kit, great guy extremely helpful and very quick to respond, received the kit the day after saying he will post it. Will be using him again for more kits!
