2. Personally I would go with lessons, I started trying to teach myself but it wasnt gona happen even though I have been playing electric basses for a going on 4 years and i was getting no where with the double bass, then iv started getting lessons and they teach you to adapt your electric bass skills to use on a DB and iv made massive improvements since and the lesson I get aint too bad I pay £16 an hour. And when you have the basics down (which if you been playing other basses you will find you will pick up DB skills pretty fast) you can then go off on your own more but I would highly recommend lessons to start.

 4.
Are going to have to get a new profile with a different user name? Is it neck through? Either way great buy, and the price is a bonus! I'm gassing for a TRB1006J / TRB 6II ! Though am on a bass buying ban and i need a new amp and i'm skint, but just looking won't hurt...
Lol i never thought of that you have a good point =P And no its bolt on (which to be honest I favour) i find i have more stability with bolt ons and its built like a tank lol. Yeh i was extremely lucky to come across one in perfect condition and at such a good price too, you never know one day you might get one you could get lucky too =P
 5. Mine was a Gigsby P250 P-Bass cheap and cheerful at the kingly sum of £85 and you know what... it was great it played very well. I still have it and I reckon if I changed the pickups in it it would be a half decent bass.

 12. First of all I would like to say its nice to see you all again since I haven't been on here on quite a while so it will be good to speak to you all again =]. Right next on the list is this sexy beast which i just bought today - Its a 2001 Yamaha TRB-5 II, Its in perfect condition and i mean perfect there isnt a dink or a scratch on it, it plays perfectly its barely been used and the past owner cared for it well. I believe new at the time these were around the £800 mark ... I gave the guy £350 which i thought was the bargain of the century! Any thoughts or comments?

 23. Yeh im on about the current ones. So if you had to choose between the current Bass Collection basses and the Squire VM and CV basses which would you choose?
 24. Lately iv noticed quite a few Bass Collection basses knocking round. I have had no experience with them and at the moment I am looking into getting a new bass, Iv had my eyes on a few Squires for a while but I thought I would find out what people think of Bass Collection before I make a decision. So what do people think?
