Total Watts

1. Holger Czukay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3buYpfYRlaA
2. I use gstrings and it's now replaced all the other tuning widgets I've got lying around. Success with bass will somewhat depend on the quality of the sound / mic on your phone I imagine.
3. Sketch (Lynx, 23 Skidoo) Jeremy Kerr, ACR Simon Underwood, Pop Group, Pigbag Dave Allen, Gang of Four, Shriekback
4. I can't post an ACR link without including this one. With just a hint of chorus, bass is near perfection in a beautifully layered mix. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQLTOGVld8A
5. And whilst we're in the eighties; I can listen to the bass on this again and again, preferably on a good hi-fi. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hn7bZOm9QY
6.
Another cracking tone and line:-
Truly superb; I much prefer the GI-FU incarnation of that track (those with adhd skip the 50ish sec intro). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjWFstUAo74
7. I've been obsessed with the bass tone on this for over thirty years now. Simon Underwood, via Dennis Bovell iirc. Pure dub funk genius.
8. NIce vid! thumbs up for the nod to Frank Sidebottom
9. I don't think freeview / freesat run iplayer unless you've internet plugged in too. But I've already set up my HDD recorder to record the whole series from Fri so I don't have to think about it.
10. Aaah - that'd explain the well synthy sound he was getting from it
11.
And they repeat everyflippingthing else (unless I want to actually watch it)
Ahh - I'll bet you can blame PRS / mechanicals for that. Just when talent wants to be marketed liberally, their own "supporting" organisation's bureaucracy stops them Like with that stupid live music law in small venues.
12.
So here I am lounging on the beach in Naxos
Nice! I had my honeymoon there exactly this time last year. Make sure you have a bite at Maro's. Lovely down to earth place with brilliant food and service. It's on the roadside up behind St George's beach just along from the court square.
13.
as long as they repeat it in the week for musicians to watch
iPlayer? Hard Disc recorder? VHS recorder?(!)
14.
like this? http://youtu.be/BTBFw0Rn0CA
I remember that one.
15.
just do the 45 minute show on a tuesday and friday please.
They need the few days to do the edit, pick the best performances and remove the live fluffs. I think it's best that way. Nothing worse than being in a band with one-big-3-minute-chance and fluffing it without any recourse. Funny to watch, but not so nice for the act... Having said that, I miss the utter chaos of the Tube
