1. Reminds me of Bowie. I like it but I think the headstock ruins it.
 2. Kevs lovely ACG. Tempted to sell all my basses to pay for it!
 3. Congratulations on building a phenomenal looking bass!
 4. Because they haven't paid to sell and so the thread doesn't exist but it tells you that it is. Or something like that
 5.
I really don't know...I could ask him to come here and explain everything you want to know but I don't know is it against the rules of this Forum (advertising etc.)...
It would be good to know but he'd have to chat with the mods to sort all that stuff. Maybe an affiliates thread?
 6. I wonder how them vertical pyramid thingys affect the bass. I suppose because it isn't quite solid it would make it lighter, not as much as chambering I would hazard a guess. Or am I thinking about it the wrong way?
 7. They look awesome! Really love the second bass!
 8.
My surname is Gibson. I've never wanted one.
Good for you I have since changed my mind, the looks don't do it for me!
 9.
Indeed. I'm quite smitten. It's rather lovely, quite different to modern SRs. I'll get better pics in daylight.
Looks very nice! I've played a few SRs and they all played lovely. Not played that model though.
 10. Merry Christmas! Edit: That volute looks lovely
 11.
Well, today is, hopefully, the day the postie arrives with something special for me
Are we going to be shortly reading a NBD thread?
 12.
They are very good quality. I think you will be pleased if Santa brings them
I really will be!
 13.
Actually, the Veritas was a very recent acquisition - first use today. Worth every penny (in in comparison to some of the 'better' makes, not too exhorbitant - very easy to adjust for the optimum cut depth. My cheapo cheapo one was actually surprisingly good, but this is definitely better It's the fastest that I've got to this stage...took less than 1hr. I'm sure last time I did it (for the bubinga fretless), it took much longer. The key seems to be doing the two datums first - I didn't do that last time.
I've heard a lot of good things about veritas things. I've actually asked for a couple of their saws for christmas.
 14. Ooh Veritas, very nice! You make it look easy!
 15. Got mine yesterday. Can't work out if the signature is on the plastic covering or one the actual front of the dvd. Not that I really care all that much tbh
 16.
If I go onto the main site and click through to the individual instrument page, both of them say out of stock. If I click on the mobile site and then click through to the individual instrument page, it says that they are in stock. Weird.
Weird
 17.
Dekos on mobile site: https://m.thomann.de...and_basses.html EDIT: Only guitars. Standard strat and a 12 string. Nice looking 12 string however.
Still in stock. Surprising
 18.
Mine arrived today. 10 more minutes and it'll be on!
Ooh, mine may come soon then
 19.
Any luck with this yet? Still waiting for an update with some kind of download/streaming link. Last update was 11th November despite the 'release' on the 1st December.
Apparently my dvd was dispatched yesterday. Pretty sure the original date was sometime last october for delivery.
 20.
DVDs shipping today bluray 23rd Apparently
I'll believe that when it's in my hand..
 21.
They are defo wall ornaments, nothing more! Unplayable!
You must have been very unlucky.
 22.
Hi, Myke It's the (probably) cheapest bandsaw on the market - a Clarke one from Machine Mart. I think it was around £120. I have broken one or two blades with the thicker harder stuff, but main thing for me is that it is portable! I've built about 8 guitars using it so far. Happily I've never used a good one so it still seems fantastic to me
As long as it does the job! It's nice to know you don't need hugely expensive tools to make a fantastic looking instrument!
 23. That grain is lovely. What band saw do you have? Out of interest
