1. I've been using my Tony Franklin fretless PJ more and more recently (mainly a jazz bass user). I play over the P pickup but I have the J pick up selected. Probably not conventional but boy does it deliver a nice tone.
2. So, one gig under my belt with the Bassbone OD and here's a quick review; My set up was exactly as the diagram on the Radial website with passive Jazz bass in channel B and my upright in channel A. Di out to the PA and using a small 1x12 combo for on stage monitoring and two pedals in the effects loop ( MXR Micro Amp and Zoom MS60B multi effects) + Korg pitchblack in the tuner output. Initial comments are that it did exactly what I hoped for. Easy to switch channels and the separate gains and EQ for each channel meant that once set up, the sound guy seemed to be a happy bunny. I would say that my DB sounded as good as when I ran it through my Fishman Pro (which is what I was hoping for) and based on lasts nights venue (Boomy stage with a bouncy floor), there was no feedback problems. (I used the HPF at 150Hz). I also received some good comments from the audience! Most of my niggles came with the effects loop (which I sometimes use with the Jazz). The 'always on' dip switch created a rather unpleasant hum which also appeared when I selected the MXR pedal manually so maybe I'll move them to the front of the channel input rather than the effects loop to see if that solves it. The only other thing worth mentioning is that it does take a 15v power supply so not able to use my existing pedal board 9 v daisy chain. Other than that, it's a very solid piece of kit and does what it says on the tin. Two more gigs on Saturday so let's see how it goes. Cheers.
3. This will (hopefully) be replacing three separate pedals - Radial I/O, Fishman Pre and a DI
4. I've been intrigued by this box - http://www.tonebone.com/bassboneod.php So much so, that it gets it's first gig tonight so I'll let you know how it goes. (appeared to work well in rehearsals) The thought of a two channel pre-amp (one for acoustic and one for electric), a DI, effects loop,HPF filter, tuner output, mute and Piezo boost all in one box seems to answer all my wishes in one go. I'll report back later but keen to see if anyone else is using this with their DB? Cheers, Jim

6. Thanks for that. London booked and if there's a curry going then I'll be up for that. Jim
7. I went to one of their gigs at The Dominion Theatre in London. I thought Sketch was very cool. I can't believe that was 34 years ago......
8. Spent the 20 mins before the start of the gig with a pint of Guiness 'extra cold' in my hand, went on stage and my hand promptly went into cramps during our first song. Cue the singer looking at me looking at my hand as if it had been possessed
9. Deal with confidence. A pleasure to do business with.
10. I should add that I went through the following list to find a 'replacement' sound. Ibanez Portamento, Kala U Bass, Fender Kingman Acoustic
11. I play both upright and electric in most of my gigs. If I can't take the upright for any reason, then I use my Godin A4 fretless strung with D'addario Black flatwounds on it. It's not the same but it does a very good deep acoustic bass that fits in well with the songs where I normally play the upright.
12. I've spent a week with my M3 as I was after a cheap 24 fret MM pickup bass. I must admit that the finish, playability and sound are incredible for a circa £250.00 bass. I bought this blind and I wasn't sure of how it would go but I'm really impressed.
13. Great person to do business with. Super quick payment and good communication. Recommend
14. Finally, here's my T-Rex Tonetrunk 42 pedalboard gigbag. Dimensions of the board are 42cm x 32 cm so plenty of space. Really nice bag ( I notice that the new ones do not come in green / cream colour which I think is a sensible move as the cream cover does show up marks. Comes with handles and shoulder strap. 15. Not quite sure whether this is the right forum for this (Mods -0if not, please feel free to move to other items) A boxed Ampeg AFP-2 dual footswitch. Looking at the Ampeg website is states that this can be used with the following SVT2PRO, SVPPRO, SVT3PRO, BA210SP and BA115SP £35 posted in the UK
16. Second up is my EBS Dynaverb pedal. I know that they made some changes in 2008 to this pedal and I cannot confirm (or remember) when I originally bought it so I'm going to play safe and say it is pre-2008. £65 posted in the UK.

18.
Are you interested in shipping abroad?
Thanks for your interest. I have no packing so no, it's a UK deal only. Regards
19.
This was posted earlier in the thread, the written review is in German but if you scroll down the page there's some sound samples: http://m.bonedo.de/a...-bass-test.html
Sounds good to my ears.. Has anyone seen / heard any clips of the M3 online? I see they are now in stock at Thomann but I've no idea what they sound like.
20.
I love the sound of the Fender Rumble amps, so would probably look there.

The Fender Rumble 500 combo is only 16.5kgs and I picked mine up at GAK. They pricematched a German website so I got mine for £425. Also has a speaker out for running another cab
Fender Rumble 500 convert here. Really enjoying this combo and I've added the extra cabinet. Plenty powerful enough
21. 'Scanner Pro' app works for me. Use the camera in my ipad to take pics of notes, sheet music, etc and then you can group them together in one file and move the pages around so it's in setlist order
