1. Hi All, Up for grabs is my Ibanez Gary Willis GWB35 fretless bass in matt black. I've decided to stick to 4 strings hence letting this one go. Here's the background; I originally bought this blind and when I received it, it did require some work. It had roundwounds on it which I immediately changed to flats. No major issues there but if you look very closely, you can still see some very minor marks where they have been used at some point. This doesn't affect playability. There was a cover missing on the back of one of the tunings keys. I've had this replaced and again, you need to look twice to see the difference. Finally, I wasn't happy with the pots when I got it, so I had them both replaced using the original control knobs. Apart from a couple of minor marks on the body, its in good condition (now) and is a great fretless. I will try and find a gigbag for it. Price is £SOLD and I'm based near J13 M25. 2.
Amazing instruments - I've toyed with selling mine before in moments of desperation, but it's the one bass that has always been in my collection - and always will be. The neck is absolutely lovely to play. Good luck with the sale.
Cheers Chris.
 3. A couple of minor ones every so often. My excuse is that they happen as I'm leading a 7 piece band and whenever we get a new drummer (we do seem to be going through a Spinal Tap situation at the moment) I'm trying to listen to everyone and sometimes forget myself. Oh, to turn up as just the bass player and just play. Saying that, a couple of gigs ago, I did a complete blank on one song as if I've never heard it before. Totally lost from my short term memory. J
 4. I originally bought this as something to play at home. Basically, it sits there and I get it down for the occasional dust but then sits there again. Therefore, it's up for sale at £200. It's in immaculate condition and has a built in tuner and a lovely Jazz neck. There is no case or box so ideally looking for collection or local meet near J13 M25 area. Cheers, Jim (i've tried uploading pics but its not playing ball tonight so in the meantime, here's a link to a website with a picture on it.) 13.
Any freebies? Went on the Ben & Jerry factory tour got free ice-cream and frozen yoghurt. Just asking. P
..unfortunately not:( Good tour though
 14. Having just spent the morning at the new Fender Factory Tour in the US, it has really opened my eyes as to how they make their basses, how many parts are made in the US and then sent down to the Mexico plant for finishing and assembly and the overall care and attention that the people put into making these instruments. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much of the US process is hand made and finished even though they are churning out over 500 guitars/ basses everyday. They did mention that the scale of the Mexican plant, the increased use of automation and the choice to use some cheaper materials for some of the ranges all goes towards the end cost (I assume wages are a factor but they didn't mention this). If you ever get the chance, then I would strongly recommend this tour (it's stated as a 45 min tour but we were the only ones that day and it took nearly two hours to walk round every stage of the process). It is truly impressive.
