To the best of my knowledge, this body shape belongs either to a Kramer the Duke, or to a Hondo Alien (I have one of each, as it happens). The sharp corners on the neck end plate make me think it's a Duke; IIRC the Aliens had rounded corners (just as well, the thing is lethal). Also the Alien was labelled on the front. it looks nice, especially given the source of the wood Just wondering if the brass electrics plate would do "as is", i.e. without plating? Too much chance of corrosion, perhaps?

I hadn't realised Prakash John used Spectors. He used a Rick of some sort earlier. Underrated bassist IMO.

If you can find an aluminium-necked Kramer with a humbucker, that might do. Mine sounds almost like a guitar run through an octaver.
