Has anyone fitted footswitch toppers to their Future Impact? I’ve got mine set back on the board, and these would help with avoiding knocking other switches on the way over…
I’ve got some of the coloured Mooer toppers, but they are too small to fit on.
No, but I think the footswitch size is prett y common. Isn’t there a company called barefoot or something that does toppers.
Alternatively, time for MIDI control!

Trying to have a bit of a declutter and I think this one can go now. It’s been an absolute staple of my synth-type sounds (before I got hooked on keyboard synths). Sounds brilliant when running an octaver into it.
In excellent condition. I’ve owned this from new. Sadly no original box as Wunjo couldn’t find it when they sold it to me! Rest assured, it’ll be well packed in a suitable box.

I have to be realistic and admit that I really don’t need three Future Impacts: one and a backup should be enough for me.
This one is like new, having only been used briefly. There’s a tiny bit of wear on the cardboard box sleeve.
Will be updated to v3.61 before sending out. I’ll load it with the v3.5 factory soundset. If you don’t have access to the editor for whatever reason then, upon request, I can populate it with some of the other patches I’ve made; you’d need to send me a list of which ones you’d like. All the ones I’ve publicly shared are here:

Ooh, the original purple sparkle BEF. These are lovely.

I thought of a new trick that I think has improved my Mu-Tron patches even more. @ped I think you might be interested.

These poly blues do loads of stuff in addition to the octaver functions: phaser, Leslie organ tones and fuzz. The expression function gives pseudo presets.

Thanks for the pointer, I've pretty much go my heart set on an OC5 now
Fair enough there’s not much in it between the MXR VBO and the OC-5 in vintage mode.

So good to have tone clips! Sounds amazing, and nice playing @Quatschmacher
Thanks. (I really must try and work that piano part up into a full piece at some point.) It is a very nice bass. I just realised that I just wanted a straight P bass instead and get a J for the back pickup thing.

These are great. I had the candy apple red one a few years ago.

Matt Johnson (jamiroquai) at the jazz cafe, playing the classic Lonnie Liston smith track, Expansions
Ernie Mckone on bass, great player!
Derek McKenzie (jamiroquai) on drums!
He's just released a live album, worth a listen
I’ve had it since it came out, it’s great. Was at the front at the gig it was recorded at too (pizza express). There were quite a few other things they played that didn’t make it onto the release

We’re on here now too:

I’ve had two of these. This octaver is the one that sounded best with my Mastotron both alone and running into filters to get synth-like tones. And yes, this gets mighty close in sound to the Doom 2. I’ve got some side-by-side comparisons. I can tell them apart but the difference is subtle (Doom has a slightly stronger higher harmonic that pops out). Both are very dynamic.

Oh and when Jon Shuker was setting it up with these strings, he measured:
37.5mm nut
22mm 1st
24.25mm 12th

I think this used to be mine (though it had a black pick-up cover on the J pickup?). If it was mine, it's an absolutely staggeringly good bass. Undoubtedly, the finest Fender type necks I've played - the J necks are super-slender and feel fabulous in the hand. One of Basschat's finest sellers too!
Nope. I specced this and ordered from Lakland. Pickup cover was sprayed with the same paint as the body at my request to make it look more like a regular P.
I sold it to @Platypus. I note it was in The Gallery for a while too.
I’ve got a clip of it with these strings on (presuming they are the ones I sold it with).

Have you tried running both together, set to different settings? It sounds brilliant.

So i have to have the laptop setup usb to tue cy and my bass plugged in through the board and i can justxtest patches without downloading them to the pedal?
Yes, just make sure to check the input level on each preset after you’ve clicked on it before plucking a note or you might deafen yourself. Input levels vary vastly depending on who programmed the sound. (I have been asking SA for a global override that sets every preset to whatever your desired level is but C4 code space is exhausted. Hopefully it’ll make it into an eventual next version of it.)

not working for me. do you have to enable it?
Yes. I think it’s incompatible with the mode where you long press the footswitch to overwrite the preset settings.
Set pedal to “default” mode and enable quick switching in the settings menu of the desktop app.

I just checked mine. It does work.
It takes about 7 or 8 seconds of holding so not super useful.
Nope, enable quick-switching in the settings menu.

I agree, which is why I bought one of the earlier ones when it came up and sold my newer one.
