1. Sounds like someone a lot of people could get along with..
2.
I've played this bass and it's lovely, a bit more refined than some of the balsa wood acoustic basses that seem to be in the market for £100 - £200. Have a bump!
Ta Rhys
3. Just to revive this thread. Most of the decent "silent" fans I can find have 3 wires. Would soldering the + & - still allow the fan to operate correctly?
4. I'm selling my other MiBass cab. It's a 250 watt, 8 ohm bass cabinet with Speakon and jack inputs. It is in excellent condition and has never been gigged or used in anger. It has been used for recording and the odd jam session with an Ashdown CTM 15. It is an ultra light, one arm lift at 16kg. I'm looking for £120 ideally meet locally (Leics) ish. Or might be able to send at cost.
5. Ive only owned and played the TRB1005. Bought like you, as my 1st go on a fiver. It has a really big body and is quite heavy and for that reason it didnt last very long. Tonally it has a really wide scope, with pedals and different amp settings it can do pretty much anything.
6. Here's my 4 string Cort Electro Acoustic Bass Guitar. Bought it to have a go but it's not for me. It's a super jumbo sized guitar. It is in very good condition with no visible marks. It has a Fishman pre amp and tuner. It has recently had a new set of strings and comes complete with a strap and a Protection Racket case. I'm after [s]£150 [/s]£140 collected or meet locally (Leics). Couriering might be a little tricky, but I'm open to suggestions. Model changed from SJB6FX
7.
Still not a peep from from their engineer! I sent another email but still nothing. I might just swap in the valves I want to use and see if that helps, although I still don't know if changing the 'pre-amp' valve will make a difference. I've heard that it's just a phase inverter and I've also heard that it actually is the pre-amp and the op-amps inside are for the EQ. I may give them a call in the morning if I get the time.
Hi did you get any joy from Ashdown? I'm now have the same hissing issues with my CTM 15
8.
Basses I can fix, amps I always look at and go "errrrrrrrrrr...." I stop at replacing switches and internal fuses. I'm off to find a CTM-15
Good luck with that I waited for ages to find one in good nick.
9. Andy Cheers for the advice, I think I'll pop it off to the local tech tomorrow.
10. Hi. Its still sounds good when its being used. The valves all appear to be the same colour. Its a couple of years old. Are valves easily swapped by a reasonably competent diy'er?
11. Hi I've hunted around for a relevant thread. I'm sure there is one but for the life of me I couldn't find it...... Basically, my beautiful little thing has started to emit a noise akin to an untuned radio. It gets worse when the gain or master are turned up. The tone of the noise is also changed by the bass, mid and treble controls. Any help from you clever guys and gals would be welcomed.
12. IMO, people are really time pushed nowadays. The pressures of life sometimes don't leave gaps for much pleasure. Others just get board and move onto the next big thing.
13. I've used various services through Interparcel and Parcel 2 Go. The key thing is to pack it well! If you think on the lines of someone throwing it out of a fast moving train. Then even if the dummies lose it under a pile of other stuff it should survive.
14. Great guy, very helpful to....... Twas a pleasure sending him a recycled gig bag.
15. Kev recently bought my Ashdown Super fly head. Great communication all the way and super fast payment. Pleasant easy transaction. Many thanks
