I’m a metal bassist myself and I feel the same sometimes but as I get older when I here someone’s else take on a song I think to myself it’s not better it’s just different .

when ive been in stoner/doom type bands i prefer 45-105. when i had a t-bird i tried 50-110 but felt like the neck was going to snap, there was no middle ground that i could find
ive always worn t shirts but played an outdoor gig once and wore a long sleeve top under the t shirt for warmth, never again
im quite a hard hitter and the shirt justy got on my chuffing nerves in the end, better to freeze
De Quervain's tenosynovitis in both wrists, right wrist operated on. its where the tendon doesnt pass through properly and can cause a painful click where it pops through. bloody horrible
