After a long slog through literally loads of basses I've found my ideal gigging bass - the first bass I ever bought, a Hohner Jack bass. So I've decided to thin the herd slightly. First off is an immaculate CIJ Fender Jazz in Ocean Torquiose, with pickups from a US 62 reissue, Hipshot Ultralites and a stack knob configuration. Also comes with straplocks. Rosewood. Comes with a ropey case. SOLD Secondly is a parts 70s P in sunburst which used to belong to Beedster. I swore blind to him that I had found 'the one' and would never sell it but it's just a bit too heavy for my dodgy shoulders - though by no means is it a heavy example. The body was refinished by Martin Simms and is awesome - the grain almost looks 3D. It's all original apart from the pickguard/knobs/straplocks and pickup (from what I can remember - Beedster may be able to clarify). Will throw in a new shape fitted Fender case (like you get with the new standards) which apparently retails for £150. Pictures swiped from Beedster below (hope thats OK mate?)sold Thirdly is a truly immaculate Elite 1 in black and maple with stunning gold hardware. Bought as an investment with the original case - I'm just not that into Fenders any more I did advertise this for sale a while ago and agreed to do a deal with someone but had a lot of things going on at home. So if you are reading this, appologies. Absolutely immaculate, looks six months old. Pictures from the website I bought it from are here: http://www.classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/sol...ender_elite.htm I'm accepting offers on these - would really prefer a part ex with a Hohner Jack as I'd like a second as a backup. Will post pictures if there is any interest. Will also consider swapping for decent digital camera gear - Canon lenses mainly. Can deliver for fuel costs up to about 200 miles from Hull, which is likely to cost you £40.
As the seller of the £500 Elite II. I would add that this is an immaculate Elite I with Gold plated fittings, so is a rare piece and very hard to find in this condition complete with its original case. It's also a Maple neck, very tempted to have it myself to be honest!! Neil
Thanks for that Neil - do you have anything to part ex with
How about my Urge bass and £200.00 cash? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=36285 Will.
Hi Will, by your own admission you value your bass at £280... don't mean to offend but would need at least £500 and your bass to do the deal.

Here for sale is an Elite 1. Looks about 6 months old - it really is very special. Completely original including brilliant condition case - all fine tuners are present and nothing is tarnished. I bought it as a bit of an investment, but never play it and need a new PC, so its for sale. TBH my new love is a late 70s P from Beedster!! The pictures from were I bought it last year are here: http://www.classicandcoolguitars.co.uk/sol...ender_elite.htm I defy anyone to pick fault with my example - easily one of the best in the UK. I will deliver within 100 miles of Hull subject to a deposit being paid by Paypal. Will also deliver a lot further afield, but my fuel must be paid for at 100 miles to £10 Price wise I paid £900 for it, and realise the market isn't quite as good. So any reasonable offer accepted (bearing in mind one on here in a lot worse condition went for £500). PM/phone/email me for a chat!

I've just bought myself a Hohner Jack but know very little about them. Anyone know of a site which details their history? Mine has soapbars, not single coils??
The guitar version is stereo and it can be upgraded with expansion packs. If I remember correctly, the bass version splits the signal for bi-amp but it cannot operate in stereo.
Right so if I have a mono sound I can send the signal to two different amps?? Guess that's pretty similar.
Some guys I know use the guitar version with the bass pack. The only thing I'm not sure about - will it let you mix the DI sound with the processed one? Of all the non-bass-itself gear I regret selling it was a Bass Pod XT Pro. I shall have another.
Is the bass pack worth buying? Can you find out what your mates think to it?

Martin did a deal with me for my Taylor acoustic, nice bloke, great deal and well happy. Sorry I didn't have longer to chat (yes he can talk for England!!)

It's fine at home - although it did sound like the battery was on its way out... I'll try it again at the next rehearsal

Our singer fancies going wireless, but doesn't want to spend any more than £200. Any recommendations for a cheapie? She'd like a few channels too.
