That's just obscene If an instrument gets worn through use, then fair enough but to do that is just wrong.

I'm praying that my bass GAS will be cured when the Shuker arrives (no guarantees mind). Downside of that is I'll probably have amp GAS instead

In my limited experience you need at least a 10 inch speaker or preferably a 15. I know there's manufacturers out there who use smaller than 8 inch speakers (Phil Jones) but for us mere mortals the standard size is enough. Have you tried the Hartke Kickback 15 or A100 combos? IMO they're brilliant and they can double up as a stage monitor too as they have a DI out.

So a sweatband has cured the problem for me. As it is, I had to change my technique radically if I was to carry on playing (took a while mind you)

Odd that. I always thought imperial was all the same but then a US gallon is different to a UK one. Are there different sizes of truss rod? I suppose there must be.

3 at the moment, 4 when my Shuker gets here. When that arrives, there's a good chance I'll be selling one of my others as I know it won't get used
