  1. As I was playing this the first time, Mrs Flup walked past and said " Its got a Kings Of Leon sound about it" I can see her point tbh
  2. Does the SHFL app have a particular 'pool' of albums that it can choose from?
  3. Not stuck in a rut by any means, but always looking for new music so count me in too please
  4. For me, if I click the black star or black dot to the left of the thread title it takes me to the first unread post. YMMV of course
  5. I've got one of these, same colours and all. Excellent bass, was my main stage bass for many years
  6. Having never had a chance to pay a Bongo, and I mean this in the nice way, what is special about the Bongo electrics?
  7. Went on a ballooning holiday recently.....put on four stone......
  8. Put all my dogging gear up for sale on Ebay. Not had any bids yet but there are 14 people watching
  9. By the look of it, those smaller tuners would foul each other when winding on
  10. I'm looking to replicate the finish of this Tanglewood Warrior bass, any one got any advice on the best way to source the green woodstain and apply it would be most welcome -
  11. No idea, they were on when I bought the bass **edit** tbf thats seven years ago!
  12. I'm happy with the sound but as was mentioned up above the price scares the sh*te out of me. If I buy a single, I'm worried it'll sound hugely different to the remaining three, so would try something else if I could find something that hurts the wallet less
  13. Looks like they might be D'addorio 'Helicore Orchestra' strings according to @jrixn1's link
  14. I have an NS designs EUB, the NXT4 to be precise. At the weekend, whilst setting up for a show, the G string snapped. I wasn't even on the stage at the time, drummer shouted me " Dave, you're not gonna believe this..." I haven't the first scooby about EUB strings, so any advice before I take the plunge welcome. I play both pizz and arco, and favour smooth flatwound style strings. Am I better off replacing the whole set or finding a single? I've no idea what the strings are that are on it at present, they have different coloured silks (green, black, gold red) and gold/brass coloured ball ends The scale of the instrument is 42", how does that compare to a 3/4 or 1/2 size acoustic bass? Confused
  15. Purchased a jazz neck off Marshall in a pain free, straight forward and above all else, quick and easy transaction. Thanks bud, top stuff
  16. Two of these rather splendid little things, and considering there were only 24 made, I own one/twelfth of the worlds stock
  17. Here we have a 1st generation Sire M7 4 string. I had this up for sale once before, but took it down as I was using it. Back to not being used now so back up for sale it goes. Anyone who has played one of these will confirm that the pre-amps give a bewildering array of options, and this model is also equipped with series/parallel switching for each pickup too. The bass itself has a really nice feel, good neck and nice action. The amble from Sire/Marcus Miller - And plenty more info if you like here - https://www.sire-revolution.com/product/sire-marcus-miller-m7/ Body Material : Alder/Ash with Solidtop Hard Maple Wood Body Shape : New Modern Bass Body Color : Alder Body – BRB, TBLB | Ash Body – NT, TBKB Neck Material : Canadian Hard Maple(Scarf Joint) Neck Shape : C-Shape Scale : 34”-35“(For 5 string 35” for clear low B) Neck Joint : 4/5 Bolt Individual Dot (5 hole for 5 string) Fingerboard(Rolled Edges) : Ebony Fingerboard Radius : 12” Frets : Medium, 24 Frets String Nut : 4 String – Natural Bone 38mm width / 5 String – Natural Bone 45mm width Binding : None Inlay : White Pearl Dot Pickups : Marcus Pure-H Revolution Set Electronics : Marcus Miller Heritage-3 with Middle Frequency Control Knobs : Modern Black Plastic Bridge : Marcus Miller Heavy Mass Custom Tuning Gear : Sire Diecasting Gear Hardware Finish : Black The weight according to my bathroom scales is 3.8kg. Blemishes, ive done my best to photograph them. There is a couple of small dents near the battery box, another near the jack and one more on the bottom horn at the back. Nothing too glaring, and certainly not 'roadworn'. I'd much rather this was collected from near Axminster, I do travel around a bit for my various works, and am willing to meet if someone wishes within reason. Underside of bottom horn dent Back of tophorn dent
  18. SOLD Here for sale is a Spector Q5 Pro 5 string in very good condition. Korean made model, to a very high degree of quality, as you'd expect from the brand really. Flamed maple top, 3 piece maple neck, and what I assume is a rosewood fingerboard. I'd love to be able to tell you what the stock colour on this is, its a very dark smoky grey, not quite black. I can see a hint of green in there too, but my good lady tells me I'm wrong so it must not be there. 🤔 Cant see any visible dings, there's a sort buckle rash line in the middle of the back but it hasn't scratched the paint/lacquer. I have to say I'm a little perplexed as to why I don't play this more often, I picked it up to put it on the sofa for photographs, plugged it in to check electrics and then lost an hour, it plays rather well. A good range of tones from the EMG pups and circuit, and the active boosts really makes this pump. Anyway, I have far too many basses, and certainly more 5 strings than I need so it's up to be rehomed. Weight on my bathroom scales is 4.5kg. All in all, a very nice bass that deserves more attention than I'm giving it. I'm based near Axminster for collection, or I can arrange a meetup somewhere as I'm all over the country with my band at various points. I'm not fond of posting basses, but not against it either, and have packaging if that's what you'd prefer.
  19. That scratchplate! My eyes! My eyes!
