1. The previous owner wasn't happy with the light CIJ basswood body so has replaced it with a Fender CIJ 62 Reissue alder body which although slightly heavier, adds a certain clarity to notes. The body is as new & unmarked except for a small dimple near the front horn strap button as highlighted in last pic below.

Fender CIJ 62 Reissue 2008 alder body
Badass II bridge
Nordstrand NP4 Pickup
Hipshot D-Tuner
CTS solid shaft pots, Switchcraft jack socket and Sprague Orange Drop .047mf capacitor.
Gotoh vintage reverse wind machine heads
Original Fender chunky 3 ply Tortoiseshell Pickguard
Screened and vintage braided cable used.
Weight: 9lbs 6oz
He added the new Fender pickguard as he wasn't that keen on the original pinky coloured thin version. Whilst doing this he also screened the pickup and control cavity with copper shielding tape. Straplocks fitted and strap fittings included in sale. So probably well over £500 of refinements made! Bass plays and sounds great just as it should, very growly and typical thick fat Precision woody tones. Medium action and the neck is beautifully comfortable with a nice dark rosewood fretboard. Small amount of mojo on the headstock. The laquer cracked slightly when fitting the D-Tuner as shown in the second to last pic. AREA : Chiswick West London
 2. Just bought this lovely SB1000 from my local guitar shop here in London. It was in the window for 6 months at £350 as a sale for a customer. I felt for sure it would fly out. I was astonished when i walked past the other day and it had £250 on it. I couldnt get to the cash point quick enough....... i swapped bassmeg the Elite SB900 a couple of years ago and ever since there has been an ARIA SB shaped hole in my life. This baby fills it completely.

Comes with a tatty but Functional fitted Fender hard case. I'm in South London / Bromley area but work in West End if that helps for viewing purposes. Cheers Craig

 15. This baby has been laguishing in the humiliation of my loft for too long now. Its not kept there for any other reason than i just don't play it any more. I have a modded CIJ which i prefer, and my stingray and (of late, particularly) my Moog, have always seen plenty of action too. in my heart i know ill regret this but right now it hasnt had a string change in five years and it must have been 4 years since it was gigged. The bass was my main bass between 1984 and 1998 has been on numerous tours/shows home and abroad and therefore has MOJO. There is nothing structurally defective with it, its just it is a bass that has been well used. All the fittings are original, and the fret wear is relatively light for a bass of this age as ive always used nickel rather than steel strings, and the action is reasonably low,(no point in making life harder than it needs to be.) there are numerous dings (ive tried to photograph the lot) and the sound definitely has that Precision tone in quantity. Any road up, im looking for £500 firm but i'm also open to a little tittilation on the exchange front,so hit me with what you got.
 16. Just got back from a few days holiday in Bohinj and Bled ... Lovely country! Have a bump on me!
 17. Kinda what i thought really... There is some vivid imaginations locally to me that said a grand + but i thought it was too good to be true. Back to the loft it goes!!! Cheers
It's worth anywhere from £300 - £900 (though the upper figures tend to be reserved for mint condition 'collectors pieces' particularly Jazzes). TBH you could advertise it at anywhere in between those figures and you might still not get a bite. A JV P bass modded with a Jazz pup was on ebay recently for a BIN of £600/£550/£500/£400 and eventually sold for £360, that should give you an idea but it might be worth trawling through past BC sales to see what has actually sold (as opposed to been advertised) and for how much.
18. Hi Ive attached some pictures of my March 84 JV Precision which has been in the loft for the past 5 years unplayed. I dont get the use out of it as i have moved on to more "Sophisticated" Instruments ( 5/6 strings etc). Ive heard rumours that it might be worth a penny or two these days so can anyone give a balanced view on this. Ive heard outrageous claims and wonder what the concensus was...
 19. Love mine ....... Have a bump!
 20. Used to have one of these til I got gas for a Wal...Wal never came. This little baby should have been a keeper. Lovely tone with pro steels I couldn't choose between it and the American one I had on loan. Have a bump while I try to sell something....
