1. First the interesting one - SFX slow switch - £100 posted SOLD A custom build that packs a bunch of functions into a small space. Controlled by a momentary footswitch, it's great for anyone who likes to play with effect routings. Basically it's an active ABY controlled by a momentary switch and an attack / relase envelope (controlled by the knobs, like a synth, rather than your bass signal). It can act as: Kill / pass-thru switch My original (and still favourite) use for this was simply on the input to a delay so that I could place delay or reverb on one or two notes out of a phrase. One key feature here is that as it's all active it's click & pop free, unlike a simple passive switch that just breaks / makes the contact. The other is that as the control switch is momentary, you don't have to press twice to turn it on then off again. Splitter When 'off', the pedal still acts as a 1-in, 2-out splitter. Momentary output line selector pedal when on, on pressing the momentary switch, the signal fades from one output channel to the other. This allows for a fade or sudden switch to a different effects chain and back again, all in a single footpress. Again, great for spot effcts on one note. Alternatively you can fade between the outputs using longer attack and release settings. The LEDs fade in and out in quite a cool way. Latched routing pedal The toggle switch on the top can flip from output 1 being normally active to output 2 being normally active. Envelope The attack and release can be manipulated to create a manually triggered envelope. This can create effects like the Slow Gear. It can fade your signal in or out, depending on which output you are plugged into and the position of the toggle. Usual legendary SFX build quality. £100 posted, which is a big saving on what it was as a custom pedal! (I believe the sfx:split, was just a two-way splitter, was £79 new - this does a lot more). [s]Zoom MS-60B boxed, mint, £55 posted[/s] SOLD EBS Bass IQ boxed, VGC, £55 posted SOLD Mammoth Clone - £30 posted - SOLD Soudnds as good as the real thing - I checked. Adapter only though. One of the knobs (gate, I think) works in reverse compared to the Zvex original, and the power socket can be a bit fussy size-wise (replaceable of course). Bargain mammoth nonetheless.
2. If sold individually I'd be thinking around 40ish for the auralex and 150 for the amp, plus postage...
3. Harke Kickback 15 sold pending Auralex Great gramma pad £40 Located in Cambridge. Can look into posting.
4. If you can solder a bit, then it is! If not, then I at some point I can probably put it back together with the pots and tone control that it has (though I was hoping the low price would attract a suitable tinkerer...)
5. It used to be the case that you had to 'take it or leave it' with audio, but not any more - there are tools that you can use to tweak the timing of the loop (ableton does this) or even change individual notes (Melodyne does this). Obviously there are limits to what you can do - there's no way yet that I'm aware of that you're going to be able to change one note in a distorted gutar chord, and all these processes have side-effects. I am well out of date with the tools that are available so others may have better suggestions. I'm not sure what tools pro tools gives you to do these things (what version are you using?) but they are technically possible.
6. CDs a pound each - at least 3 or 4 per 'order' though, please - plus postage. Singles I will chuck in for free. 8. - SOLD - My playing time has reduced to the point where I don't need two basses and for some reason I feel more like keeping my long scale so this shorty needs a new home. It's a little bit of a project as I had it wired up with separate outputs, so needs the wiring / controls sorting, but the bonus is that it comes with a Lace Sensor Man O' War J Bridge pickup (the weak spot of these basses, if any, is the original J pickup - though that and the original pots are included.) The Stock P pup is fine (and still has the plastic on!) I replaced the nut with a sanded-down one (with a paper shim on the A string which got the action perfect for me) £115 plus postage, or collection from Cambridge welcome. Apologies for the less than awesome pictures but it is in basically good condition.
9. Any audio you can share? A lot of systems can't reproduce real bass so you need to find some way to shift your bassline into the midrange...
10. I used the clapper board technique - not with an actual clapper board, just by hitting a string or something in a way that would be obvious both visually and sonically.
11. http://www.soundonso...es/nineteen.htm - a few signs of use but has all its knobs, basically in good nick. Kept this after most of my rack gear was gone as it sounds great on bass (to me) and of course has all the controls you miss on most stompboxes, plus a very useful expander / gate and enhancer section on each channel. £30 plus postage.
12. Keith bought a Zenith bass from me, deal all went well and comms all fast and friendly. Brilliant, many thanks!
13. Friendly deal on a couple of computer bits - many thanks!
14.
The Sub-Lime fuzz is an awesome sounding pedal for anyone who is considering it...
+1, IIRC It has the same kind of dual-band action going on as a couple of highly-rated, much more recent fuzz/distortoboxes - great sounding, and looks pretty hardcore!
15. Relieved me of a couple of pickups - nice friendly deal and they probably sound better in his bass than they do on my shelf so all good all round! Many thanks~
