1. I've been given the iRig stomp recently and I could make use of it for practice purpose or even use it as effect pedal. Everything seems fine and work as it should, i.e Bass connect to iRig stomp using guitar cable, iphone 6s plus connect to the stomp box and headphone connected to the stomp box. Bypass mode no sound, engage mode (red light) no sound as well. So i thought great I probably need the amp. Downloaded the amp and it seems to work but it is very distorted because the amp is the marshall lead head. I turn the amp off within the app but I don't get any sound. I guess I need to buy the bass head within the app to get a more cleaner bass signal?
2. Is the Hercules GS402B and GS402BB is different thing?
3. The adjustable height lever/switch on my GS412B is snapped off completely. The whole stand become unusable. I chucked it in the bin now lol.
4. This morning my Hercules GS412B stand broke all for a sudden. I did have the same stand for over 8 years so is about time. Was wondering is the GS402B is any good? I want something is sturdy but also portable. Will it hold my Spector Q6 bass (6 string)?

Martin bought the Trace Elliot cab from me. Top guy to deal with, quick payment and smooth communication.
8. 23kg is not that bad. The Ashdown LB30 (CTM30) i had before weight 11kg and can carry with one hand. This should be pretty easy to manage with one person.

Byron bought the Ashdown LB30 from me, great communication, pay fast and a great guy too. Pleasure to do business with.
10. Mike is a top guy to deal with. Although our sale fall due to unexpected situation, Mike had already send me the package for the amp to be deliver and he told me i can have it which can boost my sale. It end up did sell because of that. Again great guy to do business with. Li
11. Well after trying to get a similar tone last night, I come to a conclusion is myself that has the problem. I can get a similar tone with the right EQ but is me thats no use to playing with the tone. Is one of those things, I got a tone in my head that i want or like but when i actually come to use it I can't get use to it. For some reason when something is not sounded right I just crack the bass up abit and gone back to my fretted tone. I do get more of that fretless tone when i play near the neck tho.
12. The tone that I really like is Pino Palladino's Wherever I lay my hat.
13. The one i have is a soupbar type of P pickup on the p location.
14. Setup wise on the bass is good and I like it. I also use rounds string as well. It comes down to definite is the tone I need to work on because playing the bass unplug I got that fretless sound in my head, but when plugged in, it all sound different.
15. I only use the fretless when i play for a church band on sunday. Probaby no access to outboard pre, i might have to mess around with the 7 band EQ on the trace elliot combo they got in church.
16. I currently own and play a Westone 1A fretless Bass, is active and passive. The active system on this bass is funny because you can adjust the passive tone knob along with the active tone knob. The active tone knob is either boost bass and cut trebel or boost treble and cut bass. I find it abit hard to get the right fretless tone that is not muddy. What advice you guys can give me to dial in the right tone. I definite don't want muddy tone but a nice soft mellow tone with the mwah tone.
17.
What I want to know is if a 50W all-valve amp can be successfully gigged without PA support. Going by what my 100W all-valve amp was like, I'm guessing that it can.
Depend on the venue and cab you use. In theory yes 50watt all valve bass head is good enough.
18. Depend you use PA support the bass or not. I gig with my LB30 (30watt valve) and a 1x10 small combo (100watt) before. Both with PA support.
19. Barefaced 2x12 cab is good with LB30. Unfortunately I don't have the chance to get one anymore as I'm selling my LB30 due to short of cash.
20. The 4x10 on its own is already insane in terms of volume. Depend how loud your band plays onstage. 4x10 and 1x18 is freaking insane if you need tons of volume. I own a TE 1x15 and thats pretty loud already lol.
21. The courier worker should be sacked for processing package like that. Very unprofessional to chunked package.
22. Open string on 5/6 always sound different to me compare to 4 string. Specially the resonance. Maybe the scale length and the extra wood on the fretboard plays a huge difference.
23. Was wondering what makes a 5 or 6 string bass sound different then a normal 4 string when you play on the EADG strings on the five and six? Apart from the low B and high C. I own a few 5 and 6 in the past and currently playing a spector 6 string and the common thing I found is the tone and vibe on the 5/6 string is totally different then a normal 4 string. The 5/6 string always have tons of growl and mid heavy type of tone. Just wondering whats the science behind it.
24.
Seems a bit harsh? Whilst we can't be all things to all people you've tried a representative product from every range we make and didn't like any of it? We make/have made a lot of different stuff from £60-£3500...
I keep going back to Ashdown gear. I tried to shift my LB30 but end up keeping it all the time lol.
